Young Black conservatives push back on narrative of all Black Americans being progressive

Conscious Conservative CEO bids to bridge 'education and training gap' between conservatism and Blacks

Two young Black conservatives said on Monday that all Black Americans are not progressives. According to Pew Research, 25% of Black Democrats consider themselves "conservative" and 43% say they are "moderate."

"I think right now, conservatives and Republicans have an opportunity to bridge this gap to make these alliances," Conscious Conservative Movement CEO Felecia Killings told "Fox & Friends" host Ainsley Earhardt.

Killings said her father raised her to be conservative. She explained further that Black Americans are conservative in their values and that her organization, Conscious Conservative, bids to bridge the education and training gap between Black Americans and American conservatism. It also seeks to engage White conservatives to show that there are commonalities among both racial groups.

"It’s about understanding Black history, it’s about understanding that Black history is on the side of conservatism and if we can espouse these messages in a more empowering way as opposed to a degrading, dehumanizing manner we’ll see more Black Americans, Black millennials, especially among Black male voters, we’ll start to see more of them aligning themselves with conservative politics. Because conservatism has promised to protect our growing Black wealth which we are eagerly building day in and day out," she said.

Killings' comments came after Virginia Lieutenant Governor-elect Winsome Sears became the first woman of color to be elected statewide in Virginia.

Sears attributed her victory to voters being sick of seeing Black and White people being pitted against each other.

"They’re tired of the Black against White and the Asian against Latino," Sears said of those who voted for her during a "Fox News Sunday" interview. "They’re tired of it, and they’re tired of politicians who won’t let the wounds of the past heal."

Charrise Lane was raised in a Christian home and her grandparents are pastors. Her mother raised her to be Christian. Lane didn’t realize she was conservative until middle school. At Victor Christian Academy in Orlando, Florida, a predominantly Black Christian school, she was advised by her teacher to research both political parties.

After doing that, she said conservatism came "naturally" to her.

"I will say that historically, Black Americans, we are conservative. When it comes to conservatism I believe that that does not align, basically, it doesn’t have to do anything with political parties. When you are conservative it has to do with values and that’s what I told everyone. You can be conservative and not be Republican. You can be conservative and be a Democrat and also be independent, so the point is, Black Americans are historically conservative, and just because they are Black doesn’t mean they have to be liberal or they have to be Democrat."

It is pointed out over and over that blacks are convervative in nature and that more and more are leaving the far left DEMON

The young blacks in the OP don't have any sense.

This is the history of the Republican Party and blacks:

Point number 1: Republicans authored an amendment making slavery a constitutionally protected activity. The Republican party is the party of the Corwin Amendment that would have made slavery constitutional.

Point number 2: A Republican president, with the support of the Republican Party, ended reconstruction. The Republican Party is the party of the 1877 Compromise that ended reconstruction and paved the way for Jim Crow.

Point number 3: Once blacks got a foothold in the Republican party and gained some semblance of political equality, white Republicans took steps to purge blacks from leadership positions. The Republican Party is the party of the Lily White movement, a group of Republicans working to purge blacks from the party.

Point number 4: Republicans consistently broke promises or ignored issues that affected black people. When blacks got Civil Rights, the Republican Party did not believe that was civil or right and decided that extremism in defense of liberty was no vice. In 1964 the Republican Party turned its back on blacks after nearly 100 years of black support.

Point number 5: Today’s Republican Party is controlled by a racist Anti-Black base.

Most blacks are independents.

They’re actually called worse - Uncle Toms. It never fails to amaze me how blacks, or anyone, can rail against the evils of racism - and then demonstrate they are guilty of it themselves.

Racism is the claim of inferiority or superiority based on race. A black person cannot be racist against another black person. And Uncle Toms are blacks who repeat and believe the same shit racists believe and work to uphold racism. We don't have to like blacks who are helping the whites who want to stay racist.

If 93% of blacks vote Democrat (that number is dropping), and black adults number around 30 million, that means there are around 2,000,000 conservative blacks.
The number is not dropping. We won't be voting republican as long as racists like you are part of the party. Besides, 28 million is way more than 2 million.

Your post proves that you do not understand racism at all. You have no idea what racism is or what racism means.

If racism is only the claim of inferiority or superiority based on race, would you say then that it is not racism to say all black people like fried chicken and watermelon?

The idea that any person can or cannot be racist against another individual is ludicrous and proves your ignorance. Racism is not about an individual; it's about the race - thus racism instead of individualism. An individual might get mistreated, or might get treated extra well, because of racism but racism is always against the race, not the individual, idiot.

And, for black racists, uncle toms are blacks that are subservient to white people. But you haven't offered any evidence of a black person subservient to white people. What you didn't do is call Hillary's servant an uncle tom when he wore a mask, though she did not, as he straightened the train of her dress.

What is most shameful about you and others using the term Uncle Tom in a derogative manner is that you insult the role of the character of Uncle Tom in Uncle Tom's Cabin. The original Uncle Tom was beaten for refusing to follow his master's orders. In the end, Uncle Tom lost his life for refusing to give the location of escaped slaves. Uncle Tom, in the book, was an amazing hero, a defender of black lives, a person who actually believed black lives mattered and, even though only in fiction, gave his life in the defense of black lives. Uncle Tom should be a title of honor from the black community to brave black heroes like Clarence Thomas and other black conservatives.

Racism is taking actions, making decisions, or even holding beliefs about people simply based on their race - any people, any action. If I believe, mistakenly or out of ignorance or otherwise, that black people run fast because of some difference in the tendons of their feet, that is ignorance, not racism. If I believe that blacks run faster than whites because they're black, that's racism. In the former, a person accepts or believes a view, correct or not, argued scientifically. In the latter, the view is taken out of ignorance and without any consideration of reality. The former is not racism; the latter is racism.

White people who claim that white people are, by virtue of being white, oppressors and evil are racist against white people. Black people who believe that blacks are only capable of believing what they're told by people like you and that black people are not capable of considering facts and evidence and coming to their own conclusions, are racist. Your belief that black people cannot think for themselves is racist against black people. White people who think whites are oppressive are racist against white people. Women who think all or even most men are misogynists are, in fact, misandrists. Democratic women who support Biden's open border, a policy that results in the death and rape of hundreds of thousands of women, are misogynists - women who hate women.

Yes, black people can be prejudiced against black people - racist against them, even, just as white people can be against white people, women against women, men against men.

You really should learn about racism before you speak about racism.
