When trump was elected, I kind of figured he would have to act quickly. He has to run his administration as if he only has 2 years, because if democrats take over in '26, that's all he will have.

I'm not surprised that they are uncovering so much. I'm just surprised that they are uncovering it so fast.

What those who believe in and defend big government don't understand or maybe don't want to understand is that the bureaucracy itself is the source of much government waste, inefficiency, ineffectiveness, and yes, sometimes malfeasance.

If the SSA is audited for instance, and wasteful spending is found and eliminated, the dishonest leftists will accuse the Administration of cutting social security and that would not be the case at all.

The organizational structure of the SSA has become an impossibly complicated conglomerate and it is highly likely there could be billions saved by eliminating inefficiency etc. without interfering with social security payments in any way.
