The Yeti (or Abominable Snowman) is thought to be an evolutionary deviant or uncategorized large hominid-like creature wandering the snowy Himalayas and studied by crypto-zoologists.

The Yeti is considered to be similar to Bigfoot, but is also thought to be perhaps furrier (to keep warm in cold climates) and perhaps slightly larger.

The Yeti is theorized to be some deviant form of gorilla or large ape or perhaps a giant Neanderthal adapted to snowy environments and mountainous terrain.

Some DNA evidence has suggested the Yeti may be come strange combination of ape and bear, but nothing is conclusive.

Peter Byrne reported finding a yeti footprint in 1948, in northern Sikkim, India near the Zemu Glacier, while on holiday from a Royal Air Force assignment in India. In 1953, Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay reported seeing large footprints while scaling Mount Everest. Hillary would later discount Yeti reports as unreliable. In his first autobiography Tenzing said that he believed the Yeti was a large ape, and although he had never seen it himself his father had seen one twice, but in his second autobiography he said he had become much more skeptical about its existence (source of information: Wikipedia).

The Yeti has become popular folklore among the peoples of the regions surrounding the Himalayas (i.e., in India, Nepal, and Tibet).

Cryptozoologists ascertain the value of deriving 'alternative evolutionary' theories so as to better grasp the likelihood of uncategorized species on Earth. They may study the Yeti, Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, the Chupacabra, or numerous other 'sighted' oddities said to be evolutionary deviants more or less dangerous to encounter alone.

To understand the global intrigue surrounding the Yeti, we must appreciate the philosophical labors associated with 'Darwinian improvisation.' Such 'consciousness' is valuable to our human race trying to wrestle with 'Earth architecture' issues.
