The planet is roasting this summer from USA to Europe to Asia.
And globally/the planet Warming for DECADES.
Our Largest Reservoir - Lake Mead - is drying up.
London hit 104° last week (shut down the Railways and melted roofs), Portland Oregon will hit 104° Today.
UK has little AC.
Crops are withering... a few thousand dead in Europe.
Nuke plants have limited use of smaller/warmer rivers for cooling.

It's called WEATHER. It happens year round.

Might wanna pull your head out and take a whiff of reality.

This aint the first global heatwave, it wont be the last.

Lake Mead is drying up, because the states politicians have refused to find water accesses to keep it filled up.
I mean, they're near the fucking Pacific ocean, they couldn't be bothered to run a pipe across California to a desalinization plant and into Mead? They sure as hell couldn't be bothered with finding natural resources like underground rivers or water pockets to keep Mead level.....they'd rather shovel those tax dollars into their pockets.

In other news, it's the peak of summer in the northern hemisphere

In other news, it's the peak of summer in the northern hemisphere
It's the peak of Northern Hemisphere warmth for at least Decades if not since c 1880 when records have been kept.
And on average it's been getting warmer for 100 years and counting.
NOT just "summer:" progressively hottER SummERS with new record temps.

Bullshit. 1980 was hotter than this.

So August will be 30 days of 100+ degrees?

Yea ... we have to lie about temperatures in Portland, Oregon to make the OP's case ... Portland Airport only reached 102ºF last Wednesday, yesterday was 100ºF, and this is an every 'five years' type of event ... meaning common as common can be ... next week high temperatures are forecast to be in the 70's which is why we never stow our long-sleeved shirts around here ...

We're not even a single ºC warmer than we were in 1880 ... so 140 years ago, these Portland high temps would have been 100ºF ... shocking how much difference 140 years makes ... shockingly little that is ...
