Just now, in a meaningless game between the Yankees and Boston, three records set....

1. The old record of 264 hrs set in 1997 by the Mariners....broken by a Gleber Torres hr .....Yanks have hit 265 homers this year....and one more game and 4 innings to go.

2. Batting in the 9th spot, Torres' hr made it 20 home runs hit by players in the 9th spot, making the Yanks the first team ever to have at least 20 hrs in every batting position.

3. Miguel Andujar set a franchise record for doubles by a rookie....with 45!
The record for a rookie was 44 by Joe Dimaggio in 1936!

Love this game!

Stanton just hit his 38th.....the season HR record is now 266

Sonny Gray just pitched two whole innings.....and didn't give up a single run!!!!!

I believe I have the vapors.....

With all sorts of awards coming up, I put Gray up as most suited to be an organ donor.....

The term vapors was a ladylike way of saying, "I think I'm going to cut blue flamer. Evacuation may be necessary to avoid asphyxiation."

AND.....yet another double for Andujar......the rookie record for the Yanks is now 46 doubles!

Finally.....Yanks get their 100th win, and Stanton his 100th RBI
