I'm a disabled vet and seem to get lost in the gist of this thread. Disability is not about heroism per say. It's about a daily struggle to forge a life. I have a purple heart, but so do many do. I was in Cambodia where those ***** put sharp bamboo sticks in the ground with their excrement, rats, or someone that died of disease. Yeah, they would put their blood or some of their shit on the sticks.
