Let's not forget Genesis 3:19...

By the sweat of your brow you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.

There is also James 1:27...

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: To look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

It's a broken promise unless he was referring to a second life, and then it's questionable. You'll instead starve to death, as are the children of Gaza.

He isn't looking after widows and orphans in distress. He could if he directed the resources of the Catholic church to the cause. Instead the very wealthy turn away from the task.

No, I'm putting the belief in a god on trial.

Your belief is that the god is responsible for everything. Have a bedside talk to him about fairness. Ask him why he's being such a prick by causing little children to suffer. Then when he goes silent, come back to me for the answer.
Nope. You are putting God on trial and you are still doing it. It's your belief that God is responsible for everything. It's my belief that God created existence. Life isn't fair and you want to punish God for it.

I also add free will into the equation. Mankind chose to know both good and evil, and we were given the free will to choose between good and evil. It seems that when a hard choice or circumstance crosses the path, some choose to sit down and whine, forgetting to acknowledge mankind wanted this, mankind chose this. Dealing with the hard facts of a raw deal come the hard choices before us, a true exercise of free will and our shaping of the person/people we want to be.

Someone once observed that as children we are the parent of the person we are as adults. What we choose in childhood has a great impact on our adulthood and what we choose as adults and choose to be as adults. Sometimes it is good to ponder how good a parent our child-self was. And should we do some tweaking.

Yes, he's on trial. The majority of Christians by far, believe he's responsible for everything.
It's my belief that God created existence. Life isn't fair and you want to punish God for it.

You have a right to add your beliefs to the list.

As to your claim that life is unfair? That's not up to you to speak for anybody but yourself. I believe life is not unfair. Your mannerisms indicate to me that you believe that life is unfair, as well as the world in general. It doesn't have to be that way!

Some sit down and whine about life being unfair.

Are you referring to the 'apple' story when you say that man chose (this??)

So true! But also true that bad choices are often forced on children. We have different opinions on what makes a bad choice.
Parents tailor their beliefs to suit the child's ability to understand, and so the child will accept that and continue to believe it forever. This serves as an example of how the Noah's ark story is believed by most Christians.

I realize that the Catholic church took steps to change that in the 50's and so more care will be taken with teaching children bible stories.

I don't understand the relevance of your post. Do you mean we have to have known Christ to spread His gospel?
This comes to us from Jesus. This is what we are supposed to do:

Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

This is how to do it:

Romans 10:14-15 “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!'”

And this is one I am guilty of:

1 Peter 3:15

I feel the Bible was devinely inspired but is not the exact word of God. Mortal man makes way too many mistakes
Examples of Bible verses I do not believe this is the God I know.
He damned the whole human race and cursed the entire creation because of the acts of two people (Genesis 3:16-23; Romans 5:18); he drowned pregnant women and innocent children and animals at the time of the Flood (Genesis 7:20-23); he tormented the Egyptians and their animals with hail and disease because pharaoh refused to let the Israelites leave Egypt (Exodus 9:8-11,25); and he killed Egyptian babies at the time of the Passover (Exodus 12:29-30).

Do you adhere to this Bible verse

Leviticus 15:19-33

19 “Whenever a woman has her menstrual period, she will be ceremonially unclean for seven days. Anyone who touches her during that time will be unclean until evening.

You need to pick a lane. First you say you aren't putting God on trial and then you say you are putting God on trial. Which is it? I already know, I just want you to hear you say it yourself.

Life is unfair. How can a left leaning socialist like yourself see it any other way? Isn't your entire core belief based on life not being fair? Or is the claim of white entitlement, etc. just something you say to fleece the voters? Are you wanting to occupy Wall Street because life is fair? Do you march for BLM because life is fair? I told you in another thread this wasn't going to end well for you if you pulled on this thread.

Settle down.

Matthew 6:

25 Seek First the Kingdom of God.[h]“Therefore, heed my words. Do not be concerned about your life and what you will have to eat or drink, or about your body and what you will wear. Surely life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.

26 “Gaze upon the birds in the sky. They do not sow or reap or store in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of far greater value than they? 27 Can any of you through worrying add a single moment to your span of life?

28 “And why are you concerned about what you are to wear? Consider the lilies of the field and how they grow. They neither labor nor spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his royal splendor was clothed like one of these. 30 If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will he not all the more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31 “Therefore, stop being anxious about such things. Do not say: ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 These are things that are of concern to the Gentiles. Your heavenly Father is fully aware of all your needs. 33 Rather, seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

34 “So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. Each day has enough troubles of its own.
