Fifa says five million World Cup ticket requests have been made, despite coming under pressure from supporters' groups critical of its "scandalous" pricing structure.

This is FIFA corruption on a grand scale.
Apparently if your team reaches the final it will cost you over 5k in tickets.
At that level it will exclude most fans from Africa and the third world. And people who want to eat between matches.
I know that US sports fans are used to being ripped off and probably FIFA have leant into that and set prices at eye watering levels .
It doesnt look good.

I haven’t watched a World Cup game in at least 30 years, If I had 5k sitting around, it wouldn’t be to watch people kick a ball for ninety minutes.

I went to my first NASCAR race, it was four people for $80 but the food and water prices were really high.

I enjoy the minor league teams in sports, they are as full of themselves.

If crowd sizes meet expectation ,then prices have been pitched correctly .
If things underperform, you simply sack the existing crooks and elect a new bunch of swindlers .

FIFA officials must be allowed the same corruption opportunities and benefits as all other forms of governance .

A fev friends went to Qatar. They actually had their expenses covered by Qatar just for saying nice things about Qatar on the internet.
They wont be able to afford these prices.
The crowds willl be made up of eventers looking for a curiosity. Its a shame .
