yes..there has been a work place shooting in the gun grabbers most misunderstood country.....Japan.......

Wakayama gunman sought in fatal shooting holed up in flat surrounded by police | The Japan Times

Yasuhide Mizobata, 45, a former employee of the company and the second son of the company’s president, has two guns and fired an apparent warning shot at around 6:40 a.m. from the apartment where he has barricaded himself in. No one was injured.

He also pointed a gun at himself a few times but has been talking to the police.

Mizobata locked himself in the apartment near the company and the police blocked the surrounding area.

They obtained an arrest warrant for Mizobata on suspicion of murder and attempted murder for the shooting Monday morning that left one dead, one unconscious and two seriously wounded.

The police late Tuesday found him but he got away after firing shots, they said.

Yet they tracked him down around 1 a.m. Wednesday and have been trying to get him to surrender.

According to investigators, security footage showed Mizobata leaving the company shortly after the shootings and heading toward a car in the parking lot.

Apparently....this guy was a convicted criminal....and still had access to this gun....in Japan.....and he was out on bail when he shot up the place........

So much for gun control.........

Mizobata was recently convicted under the Stimulant Control Law and was supposed to have been taken to prison Monday. At the time of the shootings, he was still out on bail.

He must have had a serious struggle against his genes to go loose cannon like that.

Well done. Truly a Japanese hero. If more were like him in 1928 we would never have had ww2.

I'm the "mind" of a bed wetting libturd, all this means is they don't have ENOUGH gun control.

Japan still has a significantly low fire arm related deaths than the United States. This is rare in Japan. No one is saying that restricting guns means there is never going to be a mass shooting ever again. But it cuts down on the chances of it happening greatly.

Japan also has an overall lower homicide rate than us.

Yes.....because Japanese culture does not glorify crime...and they give up much of their rights to the state...the anti gunners here complain about the old policy of New York....Stop and Frisk...which helped to lower their gun murder rate....in Japan...police can search anyone, for any reason, at any time....

But....until a short while ago, they still had yakuza using guns on occasion to kill each other....they really didn't bother normal Japanese Citizens and would get in a lot of trouble for any collateral damage...something you don't see here.....what lowered even those cases....in 2006 they had their latest gang war and it lasted 7 years...guns and grenades were used

What changed in Japan for the actual criminals was the new law mandating 30 year prison sentences for the illegal possession of a gun.....that changed everything....

It was Japanese culture, and long prison sentences....and not gun control, that kept their gun murder rate low....

All of their crime is extremely low....they have a 95% conviction rate or higher, they can interrogate suspects for days without lawyers....all that sort of thing we don't want here....

To those that support gun control, when it fails and what they say would solve the problem doesn't work, their response is it didn't go far enough. That same attitude applies to spending for social welfare, education, etc. That way they always have an excuse for why THEIR ideas didn't cut it.

The only reason this guy is not considered a mass public shooter....2 more of his victims did not die...that's it......and not one of the extreme gun control laws kept this convicted criminal....out on bail...from shooting those people....he could have walked into a mall, a theater......or a school........

Agreed.
If the term 'mass shooter' was changed to include number of people shot instead of just number of people dead...imagine how much higher the mass shooting tally would be in the US.

The typical Liberal response is something to the effect of they have less shooting than us with gun control. You mentioned the 95% or higher conviction rate in Japan. If the U.S. would put those and leave those behind bars without taking into account that they are a protected class, economic status, or what may have hurt their feelings in the 1st grade and focus on punishing them for what they DID, the smart ones would figure out to do better and the stupid one would at least be out of the way to cause more trouble.

They don't fuck around in Japan when it comes to crime. Also their culture in entirely different. There is a strong sense of shame there for things like failing to meet expectations. Suicide is off the charts. 10 bucks says the guy kills himself.

That's why their crime rate is lower. In the U.S., more time is focused on finding an excuse why someone that committed a crime shouldn't be punished to the level they need to be punished that looking at WHAT they did.

I'll take the bet as long as I get he does.
