Woman stabbed in Grand Central Station in New York City, bystanders do nothing.

Do you follow Darwin also?
After reanalyzing the same dataset used by Putnam, Abascal and Baldassari asserted that when it comes to distrust and diversity, most of the distrust is expressed by Whites who feel uncomfortable living amongst racial minorities. In other words, greater distrust may stem from prejudice rather than from diversity per see.
Therefore, Putnam’s conclusion that racial diversity leads to less altruism and cooperation amongst neighbors was incorrect. If there is a downside to diversity, it has less to do with the behavior of racial minorities and more to do with how Whites feel when living amongst non-Whites.

Yeah. There's no ******* movie these days where strong beyond repair women don't single handedly destroy a battalion of criminals without breaking a sweat. Even in Russia we see this shit more and more. Bloody morons!
Just finished watching the series "NIKITA" on Prime Video. 5-STARS.

Trump and the GOP need to pass "Nationwide Concealed Carry" a carry permit in one state is valid across the US.

Would a nationwide "stand-your-ground" law also be helpful when dealing with street crime?

What can one conclude as we see more and more people doing nothing as their fellow citizens are stabbed, set on fire, robbed, etc?

New York is getting exactly what they voted for.

Criminals running amuck and no ability for law abiding citizens to defend themselves and no help from others.

Congrats NYC, you got what you voted for. Enjoy your perfect city.

Thanks Fat Alvin.

Prosecuting Good Samaritans will get you this.

So, if you get a permit on you and stand your ground shooting the offender what will it entail for you? I remember when they sentenced to "seven lives" the policeman who ended up then dead in jail for beating up that black junkie Floyd guy, if I get his name right.

Probably the people in the terminal didn't want to be prosecuted by Alvin Bragg for being a good samaritan. It was a black guy doing the stabbing, and they didn't want to be painted as a racist for profiling him. Daniel Penny had to pay a lot of moolah to defend himself, and spend a lot of time in court that he will never be compensated for. If none of the people had that kind of time or money, they did what they could do- stay out of the way.

What is the Kitty Genovese syndrome?

The Genovese Syndrome in the Church

The Kitty Genovese syndrome, also known as the bystander effect, is a social psychology phenomenon that describes when a person witnesses a crime or emergency but does not intervene:

The term comes from the 1964 murder of Kitty Genovese, who was stabbed to death outside her apartment building in New York City. Although more than a dozen people witnessed the attack or heard her screams, no one intervened. Social psychologists Bibb Latané and John Darley named the phenomenon after Genovese's murder to explain why people do not help in these situations.

Latané and Darley's research suggests that people are less likely to help when there are other witnesses because they assume someone else will intervene. This is known as the diffusion of responsibility.

However, some research suggests that the story of Kitty Genovese's murder was exaggerated by the media. For example, the New York Times later admitted that the original article overstated the number of witnesses and what they saw. Some say that the story has become a myth that researchers rarely challenge.
I agree there is a difference in you being the only one there to help and there being hundreds of people.

You assume someone else will help and keep walking

Why would you assume that in New York City? Violent crime happens all of the time, and the officials in charge take a dim view of anyone interfering.

The victims in this case were from abroad. I guess in foreign countries, they don't put up with this kind of shit from their criminals.

1. Self-defense under the Law, I should walk, instead of getting stabbed, robbed or killed.
2. Derek Chauvin was stabbed in prison, didn't say he died.

Other than a rare individual like Penny, New Yorkers are pathetic cowards.

It ain't new york, it's the world we live in.

Nobody wants to get involved.

Keep your chin up though, some tRumpling will be along any minute to use this as an advert for women carrying guns or tell us the perp was an illegal or black or recently released by Democrats.

Alvin Bragg will prosecute her for pollution and won’t care about the assailant. He is an idiot who charged Daniel Penny with a crime. Moron.

Your side lost for rhetoric such as this.
