Woke Teacher ATTACKS Student—FIRED & Sued!

Again, the meaning is clear--and in line with the subject of the thread--Are you picking at straws to distract from the topic as well. Nowhere in this thread were parochial, military or any other private school was involved until it was pulled out of some troll's nether regions. Now would you like to respond to the topic, or are you going to troll too?
Face it asshole. You burned yourself yet again!

There are no politics present in this video. That’s all assumption. Probably accurate but irrelevant until something substantiates it.
I think the fact that it was a MAGA hat, and references were made to woke and the ridiculous remark about the Gulf of ... make it very clear that politics was involved. Much clearer than the student being a disruption by wearing a hat--no disruption was seen until the assault.

Topic. Please respond to it or GTFOH
Why? You lie about it? Why don't you respond to the fact you lied?

The fact is the case for free speech for students is Tinker v, Des Moines, but applied to armbands worn by students to protest the Vietnam War, If he had MAGA or something similar on his shirt, there is nothing the teacher could have done, but he is wearing a hat, which is possibly banned by the dress code. Every school principal must know this case in order to do their job. I kindly reminded my high school principal when she order students to take a T-shirt supporting a student who had been charged with a crime. It was a miracle we didn't get sued.

The whole thing is conservitard theater anyway. Those are not students, that is not a classroom, and she is not a teacher.

How's that for being on topic?

And the only politics injected in the video were by the student.

His defiance of her authority escalated it. Per the video and that’s all there is.
The video lacks enough evidence to definitively make any judgements, meh. The OP suggests that she was fired and sued, there was no link to any of that either. The powers that be will make the decisions based on all of the facts if any of the OP is correct. I've wasted enough time and effort speculating and fending off trolls. Have a good day.

That’s been my point all along.

If she is consistent with her “no hats in class” rule, then I support her. If kids are wearing hats regularly and she does nothing, then she has a big problem.

If I were teaching, my rules would be no hats. Period. I would also make everyone put their phone in silent mode. If someone was on the phone, I would assume it was an emergency and the student take themselves and the phone to the front office to address the matter..

Its her class. she can lock the door and expel anyone who doesn't come in on time. the moment he stood up he should have been permanently kicked out of the class.
The moment she knocked the hat off, he should have broken her jaw.

She should be prosecuted for assault and battery. Make an EXAMPLE out of her.

Teachers, like police officers, are supposed to DEFUSE tense situations.

Assuming there is an applicable rule prohibiting the wearing of hats in class, she could have politely asked him to remove his hat. She verbally attacked him and physically confronted him, even before she tore the hat off his head.

All in all, not a good look for either of them.

She PHYSICALLY attacked him. He should have cracked her in the jaw.

We don't know if it is a rule in her classsroom or not. But if she advised ALL student in the classroom to remove hats, then the guy was clearly out of line. If she singled him out because of a MAGA hat, she was clearly out of line.

None of that matters. She physically attacked him. She has been shit-canned and should be prosecuted.

That seems to be the way it is these days. Back in my day, the teachers didn't hesitate to touch our persons or something on our persons especially if we were being shall we say 'difficult'? :) Of course that was kids that the teachers could also hug or even give a benign kiss when warranted. I think we all were a bit less physically demonstrative of adult students but even then knocking somebody's hat off wouldn't have justified a lawsuit.

That's because not enough of those teachers wound up with broken jaws, smashed joints, traumatic brain injuries, missing eyes, or punctured lungs.
