Many of these teachers were fired for pushing their religious views as fact on students. As government employees it is a crime for them to do that.I didn't view the link but isn't religious freeeom protected from discriminstion?
Your post is nonsense. Many of these teachers were fired for pushing their religious views as fact on students. As government employees it is a crime for them to do that.
The first amendment prohibits government or government employees from promoting religious views as part of their job.
Teachers are not allowed under the first amendment to promote their personal religious views in the classroom.
You can study religion from an academc Standpoint, Such as biblical literature which studies the effects of christianity on literature. But you are not allowed as a teacher to preach or promote your religion from a theological standpoint.
I used to have a biblical literature teacher in high school who didn't actually understand what biblical litter for was. Biblical literature is supposed to be a academic study on the effects of christianity on literature. The students are supposed to read books like Ben Hur, And other classical literature that was inspired by christianity And taking academic view of the effects of christianity on the direction of liverature. She decided to turn it into a Bible study. She basically used it to push her religious views and actually would get angry if a student had a view that didn't line up with her personal religious views. She didn't last more than a year because She was fired because enough students complained about her treatment of them for not sharing her religious views.
Countless courts have found that government employees are not allowed to promote or oppose religious views as part of their job. This includes teachers, Especially in cases where the teacher is actually using religious views for lessons and grading students based on them.Your post is nonsense.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
The solution to all of this is for parents to choose their student's school, and the taxes they pay for education follow that student to the school chosen by the family. Might be interesting to see how many students choose to go to schools featuring teachers who are transgender and how many choose a school that teaches their religion; how many students choose schools who have a strict discipline policy, as opposed to those who do not.Countless courts have found that government employees are not allowed to promote or oppose religious views as part of their job. It would also be interesting to see how many far right christians complain when tax money ends up going to non christian schools. I guarantee you're gonna see a lot of far right republicans opposing Parents being allowed to Receive vouchers if they want to send their students to a muslim school or example. The solution to all of this is for parents to choose their student's school, and the taxes they pay for education follow that student to the school chosen by the family. None of their business. Everyone's focus should be on their children only.It would also be interesting to see how many far right christians complain when tax money ends up going to non christian schools. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion ...
Not even the State. Let each school--or school district--run their own programs. The Department of Education should be dissolved. After 48 years or so the experiment has failed. Let each state run their Education.
