RE: Social Securityh numbers.
Correct.
The ones that cut checks do.
It’s dumb to use this term “the government”.
No, it's the correct term to describe when you are talking OPM and US Treasury and the accounts paid by the United States government.
I’ve worked for “the government” for over 20 years. There is no such thing as one government computer system or database.
Never said there was.
Every agency is entirely separate from the rest. They have their own networks, databases, user base, policies, security systems, etc.
Correct. However the United States Treasury is the main financial system for the United States government. Social security payments go through the Treasury, my military retirement goes through the Treasury, procurement goes through the Treasury, etc., etc.
We are talking about financial systems not department specific databases.
You are a misinformed idiot if you think getting access to one agency’s system will magically give you access to all government systems.
Here you go again. I never said that Musk had access to "all government systems". Why lie?
I said Musk has access to FINANCIAL SYSTEMS of the United States government. Check the news about his access to OPN and the United States Treasury systems.
Do you still want to continue this idiotic notion?
I don't need to continue anything pertaining to your "notion". It's classic strawman, claim and false argument and argue against that.
We could have a reasonable discussion if you would stop making up crap.
From Fox News:
"A Treasury Department official told members of Congress on Tuesday that a tech executive working with the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, will have "read-only access" to the government's payment system, stressing that it is committed to safeguarding the system after DOGE was granted access.
The official penned a letter in response to lawmakers who were concerned that DOGE's access to the government's payment system for the federal government could lead to security risks or missed payments for various programs, including Social Security and Medicare."
