The reheat furnaces are natural gas. The melt used electric arc to melt the scrap when we made our own slabs. So, the coal use increased when we started making solar panels, but they are shutting down coal mines and coal generation plants.

So much for being clean. A toxic fiberglass fire, oil, plastics, and whatever else makes up the internals and externals of a wind turbine. This happens all over the world and will be more frequent as the Wind Turbines age and die.

Fire fighters did not have the capability to put out the fire so they let it burn until it could burn no more.

A wind turbine is on fire at a wind farm near Palmerston North. Emergency services were called to the site near Aokautere, Palmerston North, at 2.40pm, a Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesperson said. “It’s a windmill on fire,” he said. Do did you know, there's no decommissioning budget and plan for wind turbines, they simply go into landfill. Their lifespan is 20 years, 25 if you're lucky.

And whilst the environment is get battered with that, they're digging up enormous mines for shite EV's. This green lot is into destroying the environment.

The lifespan is maybe 10 years. At least that is what I witnessed in Cabazon.
