The GOP leaders learned much from the impeached president trump. The most important being the overwhelming and lasting success of Nixon's "Southern Strategy".
The impeached president trump exploited right-wingers' racism and bigotry, that before, had been greatly under estimated and so had been under employed by the GOP for nearly fifty years.
While it's doubtful Republican politicians will continue the offensive Hitler-style rhetoric in the massive quantity of that by the impeached president trump, in measured amounts, most centrists can be swayed to vote for candidates who subtly reveal themselves to be intolerant of people of color, the LGBT community, foreigners, and ambitious women.
This does not indicate the Republican Party has changed its agenda in any way, the only real difference will be in the way the Party's political tactics encourage racial tension and their voters' hatred of the "usual targets". Those tactics will no longer be the "in your face" style like that of the impeached president trump.
