Will You (Republicans) pay attention to one of your biggest prior heroes?

Who would ever want to be married to a person that hurts you, is vengeful, and can't be trusted?
Only a small minority of people with very low self-esteem.

I don’t classify putting tariffs on countries that have long put tariffs on us as vengeful and untrustworthy.

A better analogy would be one spouse not wanting to be the one that earns all the money and does all the housework. Nothing wrong with the little bit reciprocal sharing of responsibilities, is there?

Reagan according to Leftists claimed Reagan had no common sense, everything he did was a failure and hurt America. So according to the left, Reagan had no common sense and was wrong about everything, just agreeing with the leftwing.
You did not address or answer what I asked

We have had tariffs on China, the same way they have it on us. Trump escalated that to the point he PERSONALLY felt was right, without discussing it with Congress first.

Reagan was not infallible. No one who thinks he was great for America thinks that. It seems that only the clown car left thinks we never disagree with him.

He did, after all, get suckered by the left into giving amnesty to the horde of illegals of the day.
Another one who let Reagan suck him off, and then turning Reagan around for a lambasting.

For shame, Darkwind.

No, the tariffs the Chinese had were far higher than what we had on them.

Well then, that means the Republicans are basically stupid because he has been their hero for 43 years............until now where his common sense makes no sense anymore
People are waking up and realizing the magnitude of the destruction caused by the presence of Mexico’s people. Reagan’s presidency will eventually be viewed as one of the worst for America.

Will you Republicans pay attention to one of your prior heroes and stop Trump from taking us over the cliff?

You need to keep in mind several things about Trump

1) Trump never listens to anyone
2) He never acknowledges his mistakes and therefore repeats them ad nauseam
3) He always blames others and therefore what he does never gets fixed
4) He has a history of making wrong decisions, causing bankruptcy or closure of the business
5) He cares more about defending his ego than he cares about you

This tariff war (as he is doing it) is a world catastrophe. Reagan is showing you what is truly means, and in a common-sense way. Listen to him!

This is a total catastrophe.

As I've said many times, Ronald Reagan has been spinning in his grave at warp speed since Trump first took office in 2017.

But we're supposed to listen to a party that thinks its ok for doctors to mutilate children without parent consent and can't figure out what a women is. Ok. Talk about some loonbats.
Sorry, really weird reply to a direct political question.
Get it I guess? Got to get some SEX in the conversation.

Most countries have already agreed to renegotiate their unfair tariffs.
Not the countries which count. China is blasting Trump with both barrels.

Try to find a room in your home which does not have products from China. Good luck

And the tariffs are not "unfair". In fact, Trump himself negotiated the tariffs we have with Canada and Mexico, dipshit. He bragged about the USMCA. What kind of dementia psychotic whines about the very tariffs he enacted!?!

Also, please explain why the countries with which we have a trade surplus were also slapped with increased tariffs by Trump. For example, Great Britain.

And how are the tariffs enacted by an island of penguins and no humans unfair that Trump had to slap those penguins with a 10 percent tariff?

The man is a retard. A flat-out retard.

Dig yourself out of this hole if you can.

After the four years of lying and fascism of the Biden/Fauci regime the TDS left wants to quote Reagan? WTF?
I've been quoting Reagan on this forum for over a decade. I'm a Republican who Trump made an Independent.

I often think of another Reagan quote in which he explained how he went from being a union Democrat to being a Republican.

"I didn't leave the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party left me."

Exactly as I warned in 2016, Donald Trump has led his lemmings into the far left cave in several ways, not just with his far left protectionism.

That's why I quit my lifetime membership in the GOP when Trump was sworn in.

A membership which began, by the way, when I helped elect Reagan to his first term.

Cool story. Now post the countries that have or agreed to negotiate. Don’t you think the forum should know?

Trump claims 50 countries have "reached out". But he has not named them.

Cool story, eh?

Congress granted the executive that power. So he is complying with will of Congress. As far as him doing it “personally,“ the constitution that executive in only one person so I suppose whatever that person does is “personal.”

To take your shooting holes in a boat analogy a little further and connect it with another post of yours, would you consider the first person who starts shooting holes in the boat to be hurtful, vengeful, and untrustworthy?

"I didn't leave the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party left me."
True enough. Once Reagan did that and became a staunch, Republican, you would not consider people who voted for him and supported him to be good Democrats would you?

Actually, a lot of Democrats did vote for Reagan. He won 49 states in 1984. Which is why I laughed my ass off when Trump claimed he won 2024 in a "landslide" despite not even earning 50 percent of the popular vote.

So one cannot blame Republicans today who vote for Democrats out of disgust toward Trump.

I have not yet reached the point where I can bring myself to vote for a Democrat, though it has been tempting.

I detest both parties now. Thoroughly.

They are both overspending our country into oblivion while kowtowing to the top one percent who are latched onto our jugulars.

"A plague on both your houses!"

Fuck the lot of them. I cast my federal votes for fictional characters and a Libertarian once. Ever since 2006.

Ted Cruz got my vote in 2016 only because he was my deceased mother's choice.

I am ever so grateful she did not live to see him become the submissive lickspittle he is today.

No, but then don't criticize China for having a trade deficit in their favor. We ourselves made it to happen.
So, you want us to punish ourselves but don't want to blame the ones who made it possible. Interesting. You know the wealthy don't care about it being cheap, they don't want to buy junk, it's everyone else that did it by buying cheap junk instead of expensive American made. You say we should punish ourselves but don't want to admit it, AND you don't want Orange Man to punish you by making you buy more expensive American instead of cheap Chinese.

China is now a major world trader and there is no reason to continue allowing them to sell cheap unimpeded while they insist on jacking up the costs of our goods. There's nothing little or weak about them, and it's about time we started treating them as equals, and we finally are.
You think punishing someone for being more competent is right?................oh sorry, I forgot, you are a Trump supporter, aren't you? I cannot talk about competency, right? I have to ignore just how incompetent Trump is and blame those that want competence, right?
Oh, I see what you did. You very quickly ran out of substance and decided to try something all 5-year-olds do and make it about me. That don't work with me, in case you were wondering. But hey, you do you. It should be fun to watch.

Common sense tells me if Trump were to pass tonight in his sleep painlessly, by close of business on Friday the markets would be up over 15%, and Vance would be playing ping pong with Xi next week in a China-USA conference held on Guam Island.
so you admit the only reason for the sell off is TDS? how mature to the people.
