Yeah there was no shooting other than from the people assigned to guard Trump.

They spotted him and started shooting. He left the weapon and tried to run but was eventually caught

That why it looks like the charges will be weapon charges rather than an attempt at shooting or an attempt of trying to assassination of Trump.
