Well, you see, DTMB, J6 was important.
Important due to the rarity of a violent attack on the seat of our republic.
And too, the degree of violence (we all watched it live on the telly).

In short it was unique, and uniquely violent.

And then, what propels its prominence today in political discourse ...nearly 3-1/2 years later .... is the attempt to minimalize it, to deny it, to re-define it as 'normal political discourse'.

That attempt is what motivates Americans to keep J6 prominent, and to ensure that what we saw on the telly that day will not be re-cast as "just a normal tourist visit".
