Or will the Republican Party continue to be progressively worse. Will we just have more and more Bushes, Trumps and Desantis?

I wonder what will the future of the Republican Party be say 30 years from now. ? Is there any hope that the party will go back to being a party of the fiscal conservativism and smaller Fed government?

Will we ever have a Democratic Party that works for Americans and against our enemies?

The problem with the GOP is this country gets more disinterested and ignorant of politics every day, relying on "news" sources like Tucker Carlson, who distorts the truth to make Republican chicanery seem normal and in their best interest. With the onset of AI and "deep fakes", more and more of these people will be fooled like never before, and continue to put their faith in charlatans like Trump.

And that's what people want, they want to yell, scream, and have someone express their anger for them, and no one can do it like a crazy person can. I don't think the base is interested in "fiscal responsibility".

No.

Of course, it was never a party of ‘fiscal conservatism.’

Advocating for reckless, irresponsible, and unwarranted deregulation and tax cuts is wrongheaded and dangerous fiscal dogma.

As for ‘small government’ – in the coming decades the Republican party will become even more reactionary and authoritarian as it seeks to oppose positive, beneficial change, inclusion, diversity, and expressions of individual liberty.

Expect Republicans to continue to pursue big government authoritarianism with policies intended to discriminate against and disadvantage gay and transgender Americans, Americans of color, women, religious minorities, and immigrants.

The GOP: more government, bigger government at the expense of individual liberty – more book bans, more attacks on freedom of expression, and more contempt for freedom of the press.

You LOLbertarians are so quixotical and impractical. You imagine that you have the solutions to all the world's problems, just because you don't have an "R" or "D" beside your name. You live in a gray-shaded world where you can no longer tell the difference between left and right and have no real policies of your own, other than those you plagiarized from both sides, depending on the weather.

That being said, Coolidge's failures are well-documented: His shortsighted failure to aid the depressed agricultural sector caused nearly five thousand rural banks in the Midwest and South shut their doors in bankruptcy, while many thousands of farmers lost their lands

His economic policies contributed to an uneven distribution of wealth and the overproduction of goods. His foreign policy also failed when it became clear that his signature achievements (the Dawes Plan and the Kellogg-Briand Pact) did very little to prevent the rise of Nazi Germany, and the resurgence of international hostilities.

Despite Coolidge's integrity, he offered no sweeping vision or programs of action that were even close to those which the presidency of Donald Trump offered the country.

Republicans will continue to practice white grievance politics and racist replacement theory – as the country becomes more racially and ethnically diverse, expect more big government authoritarianism from the right; efforts to disenfranchise voters of color, hateful nativist policies to disadvantage immigrants.

The GOP is a party motivated by fear, ignorance, and hate – and so motivated with use the authority of the state to enact big government authoritarian measures to remain in power.

I'm telling you this as a friend: You need to cut back on all that MSNBC and whatever late-night comedy show you're watching. You're creeping me out, bro.
