Wild turkeys in a Meadow

all of these turkeys are different from the wild turkeys at my house that come to my bird feeder...mine are more brown combinations and these were more black it seemed and all of these had red under thier necks, bright red.

This was on the drive down to Castine Maine, last week.

obviously they are redneck turkeys---a bit more crude than the ones living in your upscale neck of the woods
 
I read the thread title a little too quickly and thought that Rachel Maddow was guzzling cheap bourbon.

With Care, I was expecting to find pics of empty bourbon bottles scattered around a field after a night of P A R T Y I N'.

I'm kinda disappointed but the pics are cool anyway.
 
Nice pix. I've only seen brown ones myself.

here are the ones at my house... no red on the neck like the ones in the meadow and brown!
