Wild Card Special ...Seattle At Minnesota

If the weather is to be that cold I honestly think that this should be postponed or moved. I have seen documentaries on the Ice Bowl and those guys had issues from being out in that for the rest of their lives. I personally do not feel it is safe for anyone and I am not being biased toward either team just considering everyone including ticket holders to stadium staff...not safe conditions period

Not going to happen.

Suck it up, be men and play.

This is not really an excuse post. The temps will drop on Saturday through Sunday so both teams will basically have the same problems.

But the Vikings have been playing in the cold for the whole season. The Seahawks...not so much!

That's silly. The Vikings play out doors same as the Seahawks. This cold snap only started today in Minnesota.

The Vikings have no advantage at being acclimated in playing near ZERO conditions. The only thing they are used to in this game is not scoring any offensive points and having their prized running back not even busting 20 yards against the Hawks.

Seattle and vicinity has been in the high 20's - low thirties for about a month same as Minnesota.

Seattle is clearly struggling with the cold.

The Hawks are struggling with a stupid game plan by Darrell Bevell.

Three bad passes from Wilson.

A REAL bad punt punt snap. An even more stupid Ryan thinking he should somersault

Hawks are only down 3 but if Bevell and Wilson don't get their heads outta their asses the Seahawks could very easily give this game to the Vikings.

I totally expected that.

As a Vikings fan, that's pretty much what has happened throughout our history.

When they lined up for the FG, I thought "Go outside and finish your painting because he's going to miss it. You know it."

And he did.

We didn't deserve the win. Chancellor tried to give the Vikings the game and he would have succeeded if not for an unbelievably bad chip shot.

Horrible game plan, sloppy play by the offense, barring the pass to Golden Tate against the Packers this was the most undeserved win I have ever seen the Seahawks luck into.

I'm embarrassed for my team.

Welcome to a Detroit lions fans reality

Now I hope Carroll comes home to Seattle and immediately cuts Lynch for wasting a weeks worth of practice on his stank ass.

On to Carolina. Now that we have this shitburger of a game behind us watch Wilson go light it up against the Panthers.

Adrian Peterson sucks

Another reason why Seattle will win....Wilson QBR 110.1 v Bridgewater 88.7. Wilson 34 touchdown passes and 8 picks v Bridgewater 14 touchdown passes and 9 picks.
Or it could come down to a field goal

In 1999, when the Vikings went 15-1 and set the NFL scoring record, Gary Anderson went 46 for 46 on field goals during the regular season. In the NFC Championship game against the Falcons, with the Vikings up by 7 with a few minutes to play, he shanked one to the left and Atlanta went down the field to score the tying TD and win the game in OT.

It's fate.

It's just how it is.

Now, I'm going to go for a bike ride and then drink a lot.

Never a doubt in my mind that Seattle would win...

I don't really think the weather had anything to do with the final outcome..it was mostly media hype.

BTW, how many playoff games have Bengals head coaches or former assistants who are now head coaches won in the last 20 years?

That's right.

This will be a close game. I'm not giving it to the Vikings, but Vikings had 4 defensive starters out when they lost to the Hawks and Wilson has never played in a game in deep freezer temps. Also, how will Bennets' injured toe react when his foot gets stepped on when the temperature is 3 degrees, and that's the forecasted temp. at kickoff, as it only goes into the minus category at sundown.
This will be a close game.

"Wilson has never played in a game in deep freezer temps."

Neither has Bridgewater. If you want to compare QBs physically the most important feature is the size of the hands to get a spin on a frozen ball. Bridgewater has very small hands for an NFL QB and Wilson has HUGE hands for an NFL QB. Just that one thing will make the difference in ZERO degrees.

As for injuries the Hawks played with many replacements most note able Lynch and graham

Told you it would be a close game, Hugs (one pt.! and last time I checked they don't have 1/2 points in the NFL). Anyways, I never picked Seadawgs to lose but took the Vikes and 5 pts. earlier in the week and am 3 c-notes on the plus side.........Vegas, baby........!!!

Now we get to see the heavyweight match between Newton and Russell next week........good stuff! That is why the game is played and the off-season seems sooo terribly long...........
