Sugarless Gum Can Make Dogs Very Sick, Report Says - Fortune

Cases of sickness are rising.

Do you buy a lot of gum? If it’s sugarfree, make sure you keep it away from your dog.

The Wall Street Journal reports that sugarfree gum contains xylitol, an ingredient that can cause man’s best friend to get very sick.

In fact, xylitol is over 100 times more toxic to dogs than milk chocolate, according to the newspaper.

Good question. That stuff is not poisonous for humans (supposedly) but it's a killer for dogs. Which makes ya wonder what it does to US as we ingest it but won't find out it caused something bad when we are older.
Personally, I don't chew gum with that shit in it. Nor do I drink "diet" drinks. Tastes nasty.
