Well, when Kim Il Sung convinced his people that Communism would be great for them and that they would have beef and rice twice a day and be protected if they chose Communism for their government. They believed him and the majority put him and the Communist Party in power, hence their nation's official title: "The DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC of North Korea." Democracy voted Communism in and Communism destroyed their lives. By believing that Communism was the way to go, they lost all of their freedoms and right to live. I have little sympathy for those that choose to get rid of their freedoms in exchange for safety. The fact that they can even get their hands on any hot dogs is a bit surprising considering how much they have to scrabble for food.
