Trump, has run many businesses. Some successful and some not. Thus, he has experience with the economy on what works and doesn't work. This showed during his presidency with great economic numbers. Real income rose substantially especially for Blacks and Hispanics. Inflation was under control with low gas and oil prices for the U.S. Interest rates for home loans were incredibly low. Iran and Russia were not able to sell their oil to fund wars for those 4 years. Illegal border crossings and illegals staying in the U.S. was a trickle of what had been happening.
Now, under Harris for 4 years, we had the cost of living jump with necessities like food and gasoline by 40 - 50% In some cases even higher. loans are high and the cost of homes hasn't come down. Harris allowed Iran and Russia to start selling their oil which has funded the wars in Europe and Middle East (Israel). Illegal border crossings, drugs, sex and child slavery and violent crimes have grown substantially. Illegals are taking away jobs of Blacks, Hispanics, Asians and Whites. Democracy is almost dead because the illegals will get a fast pathway to citizenship and be able to vote in the 2028 election, mostly all for Democrats. We will be a one party rule or in other words, a state of tyranny of the majority.
Let's clear up one thing first. Trump sucks ass as a businessman. Multiple bankruptcies, too many collapsed businesses to even count. Trump steaks, Trump water? I mean seriously, he is not qualified to run a damn Cub Scout den. He could have simply taken his inheritance, bought a damn yacht, deposited the rest in a index fund, and chased porn stars for the rest of his life. He would be worth more today than he actually is. That is pretty damn sad.
The economy under Trump, prior to Covid, well he was riding nothing more than Obama's coattails. The ACA, the Affordable Care Act, Obamacare if you like, contributed more to GDP growth under Trump than any damn thing Trump did. Gas prices, that one is laughable. Trump didn't do a damn thing to lower gas prices. In fact, the one thing he did do, push OPEC to cut production to keep prices UP. What a damn fool.
Surprise, surprise, no one showed up for the auction. Well, at least none of the big players. And they did sell some leases, but they got ten cents on the dollar of relative worth. It was a damn joke. I don't know about you, but those assets that were up for auction, they belong to you and I. Public land hoss, that is ours. Look, I understand, not everyone is plugged in like I am. And maybe that distorts my perception. But I really do have a hard time understanding this whole MAGA movement, and especially Trump. Seriously, it hurts my head to think about it. And I also understand, everyone can't read people like I can, but damn, Trump ain't that hard to figure out.
I mean first, Trump will not only throw you under the bus, he will back-up and move forward over your damn body a couple of times. It is becoming increasingly apparent, only a fool would work for him. And that is kind of the thing. Plugged in, I am. There are some very sick, distorted individuals, closely allied with Trump. They will become central in his administration, creating policy, pushing legislation, initiating action. It scares me.
So, as I thankfully have internet access from western North Carolina. and power, and the river didn't crest its bank. But I am on high ground. Dad taught me that. Here, it has been worse. But, to the West, it gets bad. And the relief effort, damn, it didn't used to be this way, it really didn't.
