Why Would Any American Support Fascism In Our Midst?

One of the most trusted dictionaries, Merriam-Webster, defines fascism as: 1. ā€œa political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of oppositionā€ 2. ā€œa tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial controlā€

By those definitions, fascism goes against every principle on which this nation was founded.

Antifa stands for anti-fascism, and the name comes from early 1930s Germany, where socialist "anti-fa" groups attempted to stand up to the rise of Adolf Hitler's Nazis.

It was loosely organized groups like these in Germany that helped crews from allied aircraft shot down over Germany and Nazi occupied countries return to England or home to the U.S.

During WWII, the United States military combined with the United States Merchant Marine was the largest group in the ā€œantifaā€ organization, fighting fascism in Europe, the Pacific, and other parts of the globe during that time in history. And while it might have escaped the memories of the impeached president trump and his devoted fanatics, many members of these services died fighting fascism.

Hopefully, our military personnel remain loyal to their oath to protecting the United States Constitution, as it was written and interpreted as of January 1, 2020. And will continue to fight fascism as their fathers, grandfathers, and great grandfathers have in the past. Remember, enemies both foreign and domestic.

Since WWII Antifa tactics in the U.S. mostly involved publicly outing right-wing extremists and organizing counter-protests. However, since the impeached president trump's election in 2016, he has regularly encouraged, and defended, violence from neo-Nazis and other white supremacist groups.

Antifa has engaged in direct confrontations with these neo-Nazis and other white supremacist groups, and some of these confrontations have led to destructive civil disobedience. But the primary goal of antifa is to block neo-Nazis and white supremacists from gaining public support, support which has, sadly, increased during the impeached president trump's short time in the Whitest House. Antifa makes little effort to recruit or promote a specific antifa agenda. The growing hatred among conservatives for antifaā€™s anti-racist, anti-sexist and anti-homophobia ideals is worsened by the groupā€™s opposition to the predatory capitalism practiced here in the U.S., due to the fact the lower 99% receive an ever-dwindling financial benefit and have lost all political influence to the billionaire class.

How long will the majority of the American people continue to sit idly by while the impeached president trump and his devoted fanatics (which includes William Barr, etc.) turn this country into a fascist dictatorship? Waiting to take action until November 2020 could very well be too late, given the crises of the COVID-19 pandemic and the right-wingersā€™ perceived danger of ā€˜Black Lives Matterā€™ demonstrations. All of the congressional Republicans and way, way too many congressional Democrats are helping the impeached president trump reach this goal. And before dismissing this as a needless worry, because the United States Constitution precludes our government from establishing permanent dictatorial rule, remember the Patriot Act. That small, reinterpretation of the constitution allows U.S. citizens facing only accusations of terrorism to be jailed indefinitely, held in secret, and bans all outside contact, including that to a legal representative. So, donā€™t rely on playing the ā€œconstitution cardā€ to win against all the momentum the impeached president trump has behind him in becoming the United Statesā€™ first dictator. In addition to the congressional Republicans, he has the conservatives in the USSC in his hip pocket.

The impeached president trump has blamed the current protest violence in the United States on Antifa, and both Whitest House National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien and Attorney General Bill Barr have also singled out Antifa "radical militants" for stoking the rioting. So, to take the heat off white supremacist organizations that are actually causing the looting and riots, the impeached president trump plans for our government to designate ANTIFA as a terrorist organization.

Tricky Dick Nixon employed a similar strategy when public pressure to end the Vietnam war threatened his reelection. Stoking violence at protests did, for a short time, reinforced his image as the ā€œLaw and Orderā€ president. But, the ā€˜Watergateā€™ scandal brought his claims to law and order crashing down. As it turns out, the protesters were right, just as the peaceful protests are now. Also, there is no reason for Antifa to commit violence, as the impeached president trump and his devoted fanatics claim, against the very people and principles for which their movement advocates.

It is far more credible to the reality of the here and now for the fascist groups the impeached president trump and his devoted fanatics have taken into their hearts to be the driving force behind the violence occurring at peaceful ā€˜Black Lives Matterā€™ demonstrations. For their hatred to flourish, neo-Nazis and other white supremacist fascist groups must invalidate these protestsā€™ legitimacy.

What is antifa and what does the movement want?

.
Silliest thing I've read in a long time. Why would an anti-nationalist care who the Nation has fought or why? Why pretend to care about the Constitution that establishes a nation? Might also want to define "anarchy" and "communism" (both of which we have fought long since we fought the Nazis). "All enemies foreign and domestic" most certainly includes antifa.

The Constitutional phrase We in the United States have for a long time been required to have identification or we can be taken to a police facility until we are identified. So, we're really not different in that respect.refers to enemies of the United States, not enemies of Donald Trump, Neo-Nazis, white supremacists, Qunatics and other fascist organizations.
Doesn't answer my question:
Silliest thing I've read in a long time. Why would an anti-nationalist care who the Nation has fought or why? Why pretend to care about the Constitution that establishes a nation?

I didn't intend to answer your question, I intended to correct your misinterpretation of the phrase "All enemies foreign and domestic".

But just to straighten your dumbass out:

Anti-Nationalists aren't against national patriotism. That's why you're the only one that has ever used the term. It's a totally bogus term.

What YOU call anti-nationalists are people who are against the perverse use of national patriotism to further anti-American beliefs.

There's a difference between nationalists and white nationalism. White nationalists pervert national patriotism to promote anti-American ideas.

Any other dumb questions?
The bullshit and totally bogus term is "white nationalist" which is a fairly recent invention by the far Left to imply that there is something wrong with being both white and a nationalist. Are all whites patriots (another term for nationalists)? Are all nationalists white? Are all nationalists American? Using the term white nationalist to mean white supremist is left wing propaganda plain and simple.

"All enemies foreign and domestic" means exactly what it says; all enemies of America and the Constitution whether they claim to be Americans or not. That includes anti-American/anti-Constitution groups or individuals. America is a Constitutional Republic and is defined as such in the Constitution. Anyone who attempts to force any other form of government on Americans becomes an enemy who all members of government, the military, and law enforcement as well as others are sworn to defend against. Fascism is a form of government. So is Communism. Anarchy is a lack of any government (including our own).
Any other dumb statements?
Nationalists are those who believe that true members of their group is superior to all others, and deserve more social benefits than anyone else. Usually, then the term is used on its own, it refers to people of a nation believing in their nation's superiority, but it can also apply to those of an ethnicity, religion, and so on. Therefore, "white nationalists" believe that whites are naturally superior, "Christian nationalists" believe that about Christians, and so on. It's not new or one-sided; the term has been around since the 50s, and is used commonly in political science.
A Nation is a nation. A race is a race. Using the two together in no way implies anything about "supremacy". Does "black community" indicate the blacks who live there are black supremists? I am white and I am a nationalist and proud to be. Try to pretend that makes me a white supremist and we have a problem'

And then

Nazis are not fascists.....

LMFAO!!!!!!

ANTIFA is a group of unimaginable MORONS that is precisely what it claims to oppose, because it is too DUMB to notice that it's own definition of fascist is simply a pile of putty to be shaped by any means necessary like trump....

identification with one's own nation and support for its interests, especially to the exclusion or detriment of the interests of other nations
Entire books have been written trying to nail down the definition of 'nationalism'; 'supremacy' was my word used to describe what sets nationalism apart from community, citizenship, patriotism, and so on. Nationalism is a dangerous belief at best; wars have been started over two nations' nationalists clashing over who gets to, as the Wikipedia article puts it, "gain an maintain sovereignty" over a patch of land. Perhaps the better way to think of it is "more than anyone else."

There's also a kind of purity test that goes along with it, a belief that "only TRUE Americans" (or whoever) deserve sovereignty over the land, which you hear a lot these days. Nationalism is not interested in welcoming diversity, striking deals, or sharing the land; it believes they (the TRUE they) should call the shots. It's also a small step from "We need to keep our land safe for our people" to militarism, industrialism, and "We need breathing space."

You are correct, though, that being white and a nationalist does not make you a white nationalist, in the same way that being a girl and a friend does not make someone your girlfriend. It may have been more accurate if they called it 'whitism'ā€”imagine the beliefs that I called supremacy and that the Wiki article called the desire for sovereignty, were focused on "because you're white" rather than "because you're American." It is saying that, in essence, white people deserve to control the land.

There are a few of those sorts floating around here, but you don't strike me as one of them.

My forefathers wanted to "gain and maintain sovereignty" over a piece of ground we now call "America" and they did so. They were nationalists. I want my Country to maintain that sovereignty rather than allow it to be conquered and absorbed by some other country. So I am also a nationalist. That implies absolutely nothing about race no matter who twists it in whatever way. Nor does it imply anything about opinions on diversity, militarism, or industrialism. Worldwide most people are in fact nationalistic in favor of whatever country they call their own. Is that good? Is that somehow bad? You are welcome to your own opinion but it strikes me as simple reality and altogether normal.

Quite wrong.

ANTIFA stands for anti fascist it is true. But they stopped being anti fascist decades ago and are now the closest to fascism that we have in the US.

They violently oppose the first amendment and out no naziz or fascists. They demand that people who are NOT fascist but who they disagree with ( Coulter Shapiro ) be silenced and that no one be permitted to hear them.

They and BLM violently riot nationwaide for contrived reasons and are no better than the MAGA rioters who attacked the capitol.

What is antifa and what does the movement want?

.
Are you fucking crazy? How could you possibly post something this stupid?

Antifa. It's comical to watch righties' becoming more and more terrified of a group that really doesn't exist, that is more a list of principles that advocate for liberty and justice for all (sound familiar?), and only threaten the enemies of Democracy.

But, with the soothing, hate-filled rhetoric from their impeached hero, conservatives take comfort believing Nazis are our friends.

.
First you make an OP talking about the history of ANTIFA, then you say they dont exist. Youre really fucking dumb man. Do you post anything that isnt complete horseshit?

Any one personally know anyone in ANTIFA? Been to a meeting, anything constructive in that regard, or is this an invisible bogy man?
Invisible? They couldnt be more obvious. They show up in their LARPing uniform in large numbers. There are about a million videos of them on YouTube. :cuckoo:

"Primary goal of ANTIFA is to block neo nazis"

Note the use of"nazis"

These people say whatever helps them in the moment. They arent great thinkers, nor do they have any principles. They are just bomb throwing douchebags.

  • Thanks
Reactions: EMH
Even John Krasinski would think that meme is fucking retarded. If you werent so stupid you would be embarrassed for posting that. Its ok, we are all embarrassed for you.

Ask for a definition of fascism.

Those morons have no clue.

Do fascists support gun control/confiscation....

They'll whiff on that and then claim the Nazis were not really fascists....
