The US has people who believe Free Market Capitalism is bad for the US and that an economy that moves towards Socialism and/or Communism would be better off. These people are not to be demonized and neither should Capitalists like myself.

I've been telling myself that for a long time. But I can't do it anymore. MAGA is embracing fascism, whether they want to admit it or not. The "Nazi" moniker is way off base though. Trump is not Hitler and Republicans are not Nazis. But they are fascists. They'd have to do a lot of backtracking to convince me otherwise.

You think it's to do with money, but the scientists making the most money are those scientists that are funded by the oil industry to spread misinformation.

And on the topic of money, why in the world would scientists all over the world be taking part in this conspiracy when they make shit money for the kind of qualifications they have? People don't tend to go into the field of science for the money. Especially in European countries where the money is terrible compared to what they could be making if they went into finance, or some other field where their skills would translate to. But instead, you are saying that they are committing what would be an evil act, of lying to world about climate change all for a terrible salary which would be higher if they took their skills elsewhere? Why would they do this?

Yes, the problem is the rapid warming that we are experiencing won't just stop at the point that it is comfortable. And the timeframe it is taking place over is extreme. It will have extremely negative effects on biodiversity. It's also much easier to protect people from cold weather. With hot weather you need AC, and a lot of the world does not have access to that kind of thing.

The reason that I asked this question is because someone said that the Democrats are lying to everyone, and I think the subject of climate change is a good subject to show the insanity of what you guys believe. It's not the Democrats that are lying on a mass scale. It's the republicans. It's Trump. Politicians lie, but Trump has lied at a rate so much higher than any president before.
