A man has been arrested over an online video that reportedly shows a dog making a Nazi salute.

The 28-year-old, from Coatbridge in North Lanarkshire, faces hate crime charges over the video, Police Scotland said.

The clip allegedly shows a pug sitting in front of a screen showing footage of Adolf Hitler and appearing to make Nazi salutes.

Officers said the video had been shared online and “caused offence and hurt to many people in our community”.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “A 28-year-old man was arrested on Thursday 28 April in relation to the alleged publication of offensive material online (improper use of electronic communications under the Communications Act 2003).

“A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.”

DI David Cockburn said: “Posting offensive material online or in any other capacity will not be tolerated and police will act swiftly to tackle hate crimes that are motivated by malice or ill-will because of faith, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability.

“This clip has been shared and viewed online, which ultimately “caused offence and hurt to many people in our community”.

Or Italy throwing geologists in prison for not predicting an earthquake.

It's hilarious how some people are born propagandists and/or believe propaganda.

1. No geologist was "thrown in jail" in Italy.
2. The geologists were accused of involuntary manslaughter because they absolutely rejected as absurd, another geologist's recommendation that, after 100s of tremors were felt weeks before the earthquake, certain areas of the city should have been evacuated.

They claimed that there was no chance of an earthquake on the order that the other geologist was predicting.

Dont confuse Europe with inbred queen worship. Too bad the little guy didn't have his own "fat man" and take London and ilk off the map long ago. Those are the same snaggle toothed assholes that gave you IsNtReal and the non-federal reserve. July 4 is a lie. They won.In 1913.

No geologist was thrown in jail. In fact, they were all acquitted. On the other hand, I think it was irresponsible for them (official state employed geologists) not to heed the prediction of one of their fellow geologists (not an official state employee) and err on the side of safety instead of insisting that there was no need to evacuate the medieval part of the city because there would not be an earthquake.

They did not spend a minute in prison. They were given "liberta' provisoria" between trials.

You are such a propagandist. They were accused of involuntary manslaughter because they insisted that the prediction of another seismologist, not a member of their "club", was ridiculous and insisted that the older part of the city should not be evacuated. You really don't get do you, dimwit.

You are simply a know nothing propagandist.

They prosecuted 6 state-employed geologists for not doing their job of considering the safety of the public above their personal egos and their dislike for a particular privately employed seismologist who did predict the earthquake. Those bozos, insisting that people not evacuate was the reason why people did not evacuate the center city.

The original sentence was correct wherein the court determined that:

"...the accused are responsible for having imprudently , unprofessionally and mistakenly informed the citizens about the absence of any risk of the occurrence of an earthquake , although they should have concluded that there was a chance of an earthquake occurring based on the tremors that occurred months before the earthquake that become even more intense in the days leading up to the earthquake."

As most of the city agree the idiots should have spent at least some time in jail for not doing their jobs.

You can continue with your bullshit propaganda moron, but I will stand up to your bullying at every turn, asshole.

There was plenty of evidence from the seismology prior to the earthquake that there was a chance, if not a good of an earthquake occurring. The idiot state-employed seismologists declared that there was NO CHANCE of an earthquake and that the center of the city where the old medieval buildings were should NOT be evacuated.

They did not do their job. They did not take into consideration the safety of the public and were more intent on demonstrating that they knew better than Giampaolo Giuliani who predicted the quake. Note: These same seismologists are the ones that pushed for the injunction against Giampaolo Giuliani to keep him from "spreading panic."

"For several days, Giuliani had been watching with mounting anxiety as his four radometer stations, placed in and around L'Aquila, showed very high and rising levels of radon gas emissions from the ground. By Sunday 5 April, he was convinced that within 24 hours there would be a quake – but he could not raise a public alarm. He was under an injunction, served a week earlier, that forbade him to do so on the grounds that his predictions would spread unfounded panic....."
