The prophecies and dreams of Daniel the Prophet are very fascinating regarding this topic. After Israel was carried away captive into Babylon, The King of the Babylonians, Nebuchadnezzar, took of the Hebrews who had wisdom, understanding and knowledge to be advisors in his court. Among them was Daniel.

I am Catholic and even I think that the papacy will (has) become corrupt and... not sure what to say beyond that. but we Catholics know more about how awful some clergy are than anyone outside the Church

Daniel was not written in the 2.. nd Century BC as you like to suppose: The Date and Authorship of the Book of Daniel. Not sure why you keep pushing this false claim. Is it because you can't get anyone to believe it?

Yes Daniel was written n 168 BC. You are skipping a huge chunk of Jewish history.. and it is history not prophecy. Revelation is also history not prophecy.

There was no Catholic church or papacy when Nero was emperor.
