I thought you were going to point out that all the "anti-gay" advocates would LOVE to be able to express this openly, and pass laws to ban this and that and the other.

But Political Correctness, Constitutional equal protections, and "separation of church and state" stops Americans from targeting or pushing "religious" agenda.
So Putin and countries that don't have this check on govt, and liberal opposition to anything religious, they CAN do all the things people WISH they could do over here!
