What is noticeable and disturbing about the prevailing culture is that there is no regard for the wisdom of age. I'm not saying that all older people are "wise" - obviously not, but if, let's say, young adults are keen on one initiative, and mature adults oppose it, the presumption seems to be that the former is the better course.
This makes no sense. Does it not seem likely that people with, say 40 years of adult experience are "wiser" than someone who has only recently been emancipated from his parents?
