Zone1 Why is the US the best country in the world?

I know to uber right-wingers anybody who is just normal is a leftist. You just don't understand how far to the right your are. You do realise that Reagan was a normal right-winger. You lot, are to the right of Attila the Hun.
^^^ something a leftist would say.

Not my party.

You are a lefty. It was your lefty riots.

You have given it false equivalency.

It is not equivalent. That one riot killed no one. Your side's hundreds of riots killed dozens.

Your party's riot was to overthrow a govt. The BLM etc started off as people sick of kicked around due to the colour of their skin. If you can't see the difference...

The blm riots started off based on LIES about "police hunting blacks".

And led to dozens of deaths and hundreds of millions in damages.

**** BLM. and ANTIFA while we are at it.

It is interesting the way that leftards always want to ignore lily white ANTIFA and focus on BLM.

When both are vile, violent marxist scum.

My mother is English. The National Health is pretty good. We lived over there for a while, and never had much of a problem. I'm sure for every story you have that is bad I have a good one. And I'm sure there are literally millions of Americans who are on waiting lists and do not have immediate access like you. Glad you have the TRICARE program. You deserve it if you served.

When you say the health care system is “pretty good”, that is a relative term. You can look on their own website to see how long the estimates are before you begin treatment for different issues. You believe that there are millions of Americans who are on waiting lists and do not have immediate access to medical care, the key in that is where you said, “you believe”. You believe, you do not know.

We have people trying to get in here too. They usually try via south-east Asia. My partner was a refugee from Vietnam. Thing is, Australia is hard to get into due to being surrounded by water. We don't have a porous border like your Southern one. As an FYI, my partner's father had a choice of either coming to Australia or the US. He chose Aussie. My partner's first husband's family chose the US. They live in Texas. Although, a few of them are now heading back to Vietnam to live.

Maybe you haven’t heard but our southern border is no longer just a stroll across situation. Illegal border crossing are now down to zero. I know, tough thing to do.

Sometimes I think the left is their own worst enemy. Wokism for example. However, I'm more interested in specifics when it comes to make the US great.
What is "wokism" then? You think it's something that's bad. The dictionary says it's people are "Alert, aware of what is going on, or well-informed, especially of racial and other social justice issues."

But most people seem to use it as "anything I don't like".

Been to the states several times. Well, I just listen to Trump, Patel et al speak. That's where I get my information from. I mean the bar is so low now for a country with the status of the US it is ridiculous. Out of 330 million people you get Trump and Biden? I mean, if Hilliary had been successful and gotten two terms, a Bush or Clinton would have been in the WH for a combined total of 28 years. That would have been just as silly. There are so many much better people on both sides of the political aisle. It does your country a disservice.

In your opinion, it does our country a disservice. Here’s something to consider, you actually know who the leader of our country is. You listen to our president speak. I couldn’t tell you who is in charge of your country, nor what their positions are on anything. Neither could most people in the world outside of your country. That is because your country’s sphere of influence is almost zero, whereas the United States? Everyone listens.

You have the best chance to be success in America than any other country. If your not thats on you. If you lived in Europe or Scandinavia the government traps you in the class you are born into and gives you just enough to remain status quo. Only old money gets rich

Really? When did they call in the FCC? Remember the Dixie Chicks? Talk about deplatforming...

You think the Dixie Chicks got “deplatformed” by the FCC? Cute story, but that’s not how it went down.

In 2003, Natalie Maines said she was ashamed Bush was from Texas (during a show in London, pre-Iraq War invasion). Country radio didn’t get a stern FCC letter or a government fine. No black helicopters swooped in. What actually happened: Their own fans lost their minds, flooded stations with angry calls, boycotted, and even held charming little CD-smashing parties. Stations—being businesses that like money—quickly dropped the songs to keep their listeners (and advertisers) happy. It was pure customer revolt, not Big Government censorship. The market spoke, and it spoke with a thick Texas drawl.

So not exactly a First Amendment violation—just the free market giving them the boot they earned from their core audience. Who knew patriotism could be so… transactional?

American logic

With universal healthcare you will have to wait months to have a wart removed from your butt

With profit driven healthcare you will spend years paying off having that wart removed from your butt

Universal healthcare is great, except now the government gets to be involved in deciding if and when you get your care. It’s not free. You pay for it through far higher taxes. In the United States, nearly half of our wage earners pay zero percent or less in federal income tax. If they were told tomorrow they were going to have to pay 20%, they would not be happy.

You have never experienced Government healthcare. You pay more and the quality of care declines. The NHS in the UK is perfect example. Watt times in years and months, high taxes and lower standard of living, Drs leaving in large numbers, they are broke, 14% sales tax on everything, no mental health for minors, and they use old drugs

I have experienced healthcare led by Insurance Companies
Denial of service
Stacks of medical bills that take years to pay
Rising insurance rates

I met a guy from UK who had a heart valve replaced.
Checked in, showed his card, never received a bill

Single-payer like the UK’s NHS promises “free” care for all, but it quietly creates a two-tier system. The rich (and growing numbers of middle-class folks) pay for private insurance or cash to skip the endless NHS waits—getting surgeries, scans, and specialists in days or weeks instead of 12–18+ months.

Everyone else? Stuck in the public queue with rationing by delay, canceled appointments, and basic care that often feels second-rate for non-emergencies. Emergencies are handled well across the board, but for planned stuff, money buys speed and choice. Single-payer doesn’t erase inequality—it just turns it into who can afford to jump the line.

I worked in healthcare and I know the UK system well. Your experiences assuming they are even true are yours. I know a guy is meanigless.

I know a guy thats reliable. What service was denied lets have some facts. I worked in healthcare and trained therapist in the UK. You pay more and get less and in many cases people die waiting. Youll with 6 months for knee replacement. Many pediatric cases are backed up 2 years. I talk to DRs there all the time. They got one raise in 14 years. Mental health fir your child and you pay that yourself

The UK guy’s heart valve replacement wasn’t “free”—he paid for it over decades through taxes and National Insurance (average ~£1,500–£1,800/year per person). Everyone chips in for the NHS pot that covers big procedures.

In the US, we choose our insurance plan, set our deductible and out-of-pocket max, and control our costs. Either way, we all pay for major care—one spreads it across a lifetime via taxes, the other lets us pick the plan that fits. No free lunch, just different ways to foot the bill.

Insurance is not free and insurance companies make record profits

Obama or Biden never went after free speech. I note how you don't comment on due process. No surprises there.

Instead of acting like a spoiled brat and thinking he has the keys to the castle, maybe he should stick to policies.
Trump is a ******* idiot, although I might be doing idiots a disservice by comparing him to them.

He couldn't give a rat's arse about you. None of you.
No, they just suppressed news stories that would have cost Biden the election.

And you sound more and more like a nasty, deranged leftist with every post.

Which ones have you tried?
I used to think Australia could be a possibility, but given the Left’s import of antisemitic Muslims, culminating with the mass murder there, it sure isn’t any place for a Jew to move.

The USA is one of the least corrupt nations on earth. Most nations rely on bribery at all levels. Of course there is some corruption, any organization run by humans will have some corruption since there are always people willing to use their positions for their own benefit. In theUSA we discourage that by prosecuting corrupt official when they are exposed,
Lol. The perceived 29th least corrupt. Or close to that.
