Healthmyths, thanks for listing what you like about Trump's leadership. I respect your faith in him. However, I have none...whatsoever.
Obama did NOT say he or the government would bankrupt anyone trying to build a coal plant. Read it again. He compared it to building a buggy whip factory or a Polaroid camera store.
I would question that Obama said he wants higher gas prices, or at the very least the context your link presents.
I don't understand much about single-payer healthcare or how it would work, except that it would save businesses a bundle I think, or those that cover bennies, that is. But that outline is over my head and I have no idea how it would work.
Manufacturing jobs? Manufacturers are still leaving our shores. So far we have gains and losses and I don't know how equal they are.
EPA rules/standards are curtailing energy production of coal-fired electric plants? Haven't you heard? Energy companies are phasing out coal. And you know, I think you must be young, because you place money over your health and the health of your children..and mine. That kind of talk usually is reserved for the 10' tall and bulletproof going-to-live-forever bunch. When the young man from the audience whose 'life was saved' is a lucky one. His job just may last his lifetime. But one guy out of many thousands and their collateral businesses is not a victory. We will need coal in smaller and smaller quantities going forward.
Pipeline promises a grand total of 35 permanent jobs. Until a break of course.
So the Boeing battle is over!
Capital gains..above my pay grade. I don't own stocks.
healthmyths, I do not claim to know more or better than you. But I do think my doubts, coupled with a fear of whim-based actions and lots of empty promises, are any less valid either.
