They obviously don't feel small, or weak, or underachieving. Owning a gun is to give that person the feeling of power over other people. Paranoia, anger, and insecurity gives the person social anxiety and owning a gun is a quick and simple solution.

The thing that bothers me about this show "Evil Lives Here" is that there are soooooo many SIGNS that the man is a piece of shit. She ignores it all. He cheats or murders women or steals or whatever and she just puts up with it. I DO know what it's like to be in an abusive relationship but as soon as she figures out she IS in one, she needs to plot to get out. One that I did and she can do is rent a storage unit. Start moving your stuff in there slowly. Then you will have some things to start your new life. Second piece of advice. File a report of any injuries. That stays with you and the court sees that when its time for you to get a retraining order.

I own them because I like them. Some because they are works of art, like my Purdey's, or Holland & Hollands, some because of their engineering, like my MG-34 or my Thompson SMG. Some because of their history like my Brown Bess, or my Civil War era Sharps.

Only myopic clods, such as yourself resort to infantile insults to denigrate gun owners.

I have several weapons that are by themselves worth more than the net worth of a great number of posters on this forum.

Why is that important you ask? Because it takes great wealth to obtain those types of firearms, wealth that is earned for the most part, not inherited, just like the Japanese industrialists collect their samurai swords, some of which are worth millions.

Successful people own expensive weapons, because we like them.

Has nothing to do with power over others. Fascists want power over others, that's why they seek to disarm people like me.

Women are not typically familiar with guns….but that is changing…I saw one post once that pointed out that if a women has to get a restraining order it should work as her concealed carry permit

So many different guns have different purposes. I see why people buy 100 guns.

1. BB gun. Cheap ammo, fun, can even kill small game, quiet
2. 22 long rifle
3. More powerful rifle for deer hunting
4. My little derringer. Put it in your pocket.
5. 410 shotgun for rabbit or quail
6. 45 handgun for home protection

If I ever got a concealed weapons permit I would need a bigger gun than the derringer but smaller than the 45. The 45 is too big. I'd like a small glock next.

They can wait. Do you think a woman won't buy a gun because it can't handle an extended clip? Training regulations? Burdensome? So you are against people being properly trained?

In Michigan, now, you have to go through a DNR class to get your first license. I think it's a great idea. You can buy the gun without the class but to get a hunting license, you have to prove you aren't stupid.

AND, you have to spend 8 hours with DNR agents. They'll know if you're a nut and report you to police. Got a problem with that? Weirdo.
