BLM is focused on a very select set of Black Lives that meet the condition of dying while in Police custody or at the hands of Police. Contrast the frequency of this occurrence with the number of Black lives lost on a daily basis to violence.

It's pretty hard to generate public support for a black single mother whose unable to properly raise her kids and sees them fall into crime and violence. It's just not that dramatic and there is no clear villain except society but it's just as important if not more so.

The problem in that situation is lack of community development and retail businesses that provide youth with programs and jobs that take away idle time. Also decent wages paid equally regardless of race would mean mom does not work 2 jobs and can spend time with her children. Last, this stereotype reflects a distorted view of black communities. Single black women with children have boyfriends and that means there are men in that childs life.

Community development and retail to provide programs?? Those that got burnt and looted may not be coming back.

I said they don't want to debate the ISSUES, because they would LOSE, because their agenda is to put all the blame and responsibility on other parties, share none of it themselves, with the goal of effecting power over others as a privileged class, not to merely lessen police violence.

The sad fact is that black people as a class of society are generally more often involved in crime and have a problem with authority leading to more interactions wirth the police per populace and more of those BAD interactions. This has lead to profiling and general suspicions and expectations which then unfortunately falls upon many totally innocent black people as well. Bottom line: we need greater education and opportunity for minorities, which would lead to less crime, which would lead to less profiling, fewer police interactions and better ones at that.

It is a universal problem and if BLM thinks some magic wand of "police reform" will not only not make matters worse without addressing the rest of the equation, they (and we) have another thing coming.

Between Covid, the economic collapse resulting from the shutdowns, and now this institutionalized crime wave along with the vilification of the police, we are in for hard times ahead.
