Why does the stay logged in checkbox not work?

This has been going on for months, If I walk away for even 10 minutes I'm logged out. It used to stay logged in indefinitely.

If you get a protocol analyzer you would probably see that your internet is dropping. If you get a reset from the server you are being purposely logged out due to inactivity.
