Why do working class Americans vote against their self interests?

Yes, that poster said that banning abortions “adversely affects fetal health.” I guess when you murder millions of babies, they no longer have any health problems.

Yes, I've made that very point dozens (or more) times here, as I criticize PC/Identity Politics and its sociological damage regularly. Perhaps THOUSANDS of times.

Somehow you haven't seen that.

Since I'm not in the orange cult, I must be a leftist. That's the MAGA thought process. Believe what you will.

Yet I seem to recall you calling people racist all the time....

Are you all blurring together on me? Or am I remembering your behavior correctly?

I mean, if they were smarter, they wouldn't be liberals....

Your "seem to recall" is flawed.

Back it up. The search engine works just fine here.

This is why I no longer bother with you people.

Why?

Bidenomics centered on stimulating the working class
It worked
Bidenomics was a total disaster. Yoru imagination is running away with you. How do you explain the highest inflation in 40 years?

What kind of substances do you use to project such a ridiculous view of the world around you?

Strong Job Growth

  • Over 15 million jobs were created between January 2021 and early 2024.
  • Unemployment dropped to historic lows (~3.5%), recovering faster than many economists predicted post-pandemic.
Manufacturing Resurgence
  • Biden focused on revitalizing U.S. manufacturing with legislation like:
    • CHIPS and Science Act (to boost domestic semiconductor production)
    • Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) (incentives for clean energy and electric vehicles)

  • Private investment surged in clean energy, tech, and EV sectors.

Economic Resilience
  • Despite global inflation pressures, the U.S. avoided a recession in 2023–2024, even as interest rates rose.

Wage Growth

  • Wage growth picked up, especially for lower-income workers, although not all gains kept pace with inflation.

Stock Market Recovery

  • After a rocky 2022, the markets rebounded in 2023 and 2024, with the S&P 500 hitting new highs by early 2024.

I don't know but I watched the interviews and those 3 all agreed with the people asking questions that it was and is settled law. So.they lied and are not trustworthy. A judge. , especially a Supreme Court judge should not be a liar and should be trustworthy. They should all be rescinded and replaced with unbiased people.
Yes, "they lied" under oath. Judges, not just politicians, lying under oath. Who's gonna prosecute them? Perhaps ICE could be repurposed and put to good use here.

Strong Job Growth

  • Over 15 million jobs were created between January 2021 and early 2024.
Most of those jobs were figments of Biden's imagination.

Unemployment dropped to historic lows (~3.5%), recovering faster than many economists predicted post-pandemic.

Unemployment dropped only because COVID ended. A whole lot of people, like me and my wife, retired because we could no longer work, and many people just left the job market completely.

Manufacturing Resurgence
Biden focused on revitalizing U.S. manufacturing with legislation like:
  • CHIPS and Science Act (to boost domestic semiconductor production)
  • Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) (incentives for clean energy and electric vehicles)
  • Private investment surged in clean energy, tech, and EV sectors.
None of that had any effect on the economy except to worsen inflation.

Economic Resilience
  • Despite global inflation pressures, the U.S. avoided a recession in 2023–2024, even as interest rates rose.
We avoided the recession by having almost zero growth, which is not a good thing either.

Wage Growth

  • Wage growth picked up, especially for lower-income workers, although not all gains kept pace with inflation.
Congratulations on destroying your own argument.

Stock Market Recovery

  • After a rocky 2022, the markets rebounded in 2023 and 2024, with the S&P 500 hitting new highs by early 2024.

Completely irrelevant. The only people who profited pulled their money out of the stock market like I did.

Congress should have done their job, they could have prevented all of this but they decided not to do a thing, not Republicans or Democrats, the did not do their job as I have just proven by you not being able to answer those questions.

Don't fall for it Mac. This is just a tactic that they use when their arguments fall apart. The want to make it about you, or me, or anyone who criticizes their politics. They can't answer the criticism so they try to make it personal. Just move on.

The economy boomed under Biden
Denying economic numbers does not change them

Getting back to the topic - there's a delusion central to these kinds of claims that's actually really important.

Democrats keep claiming that working class voters who won't vote Democrat are voting "against their interests". The problem is that Democrats have no idea what these voters' "interests" are, and that's why they're losing them. Working class voters are tired of being looked down on, and they're tired of "free shit" as the Democrats' answer to every problem. They're tired of being told how to live and they're tired of freak-o-the-week civil rights.

Showing how effective Republicans have been with the working class.

You are not struggling because wages have been stagnant. You are not struggling because taxes have been slashed on the wealthy and corporations.

You are struggling because poor people get too much

Right. This misinterpretation is exactly the problem. But keep telling yourself that, I guess.

Workers have been indoctrinated by Republicans to not demand more from the wealthy or they will leave.

Their wrath is directed to the poor who they are told live better than they do, it is directed against immigrants who they are told are stealing their jobs

And they’re sure tired of seeing Democrats hand out $5000 debit cards and free hotel stays to illegals while they struggle to make rent.
