The demographic reality is that the Democratic Party unites White Americans, Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, and other Americans, including straight, gay, and LGBTQ Americans, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim Americans, female Americans, and better-educated, younger Americans in significant numbers.

Today's GOP is dominated by old, white geezers with limited academic attainments.

A new survey from the Pew Research Center shows that the Republican Party has become the party for less-educated white voters. And the shift in recent years has been particularly staggering.​
