Why do Trump supporters not believe the main street fake press, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC etc. sometimes, but other times they believe them.
The Trump supporters call main street press fake if they report something negative about Trump. If the news is positive to Trump or one his causes they say it is true.
Trump and supporters don't base their fake news claims on whether the news is true or false. Fake news is any news negative toward Trump.
An example this week was when the main stream press reported a man carrying a gun, in the Indiana mall shooting, was able to shoot and kill the shooter, saving lives. No Trump minion called this fake news.

One of the giveaways is when, no matter which channel you switch to, the news reporter leads into the story almost word for word as the other channel. I've seen that quite a few time in the past. At best it shows they are being lazy... at worst, they are all taking the same orders on what to say.

Take the CharlottesVille incident as an example. News outlets could simply have reported on the incident straight up but instead, they cut and clipped Trump's speech to fit a scenario, taking out the moderate parts which gave context to what he was saying, so that made it sound like he was in favor of white supremecist racists. When we see that... and see that happen over and over again, you start to realize ok, well they have a purpose in their reporting when it comes to Trump, and that purpose is to make him look bad.
From that point on you cant trust anything they say on face value.
