The 2nd amendment- clearly states; shall not be infringed.
Furthermore, the Bill of Rights, were lines that were to not be crossed by DC laws- and state constitutions were brought into line with the US Constitution with the 14th amendment- (which is good and bad), but an entirely different discussion.
Our alleged justice system is supposed to operate using the Rule of Law- however, when desired, state operators use, and hide behind, the
Color of Law- then alleged informed and knowledgeable voters get on message boards and argue about what law(s) are effective or what they do- some, in fact many, don't notice that law abiding were not doing criminal actions in the first place and that criminals were, so we get
thought crimes, as I stated previously about the
what if's, might, and so and so happened when, making criminals out of people who caused no harm- but, didn't comply with draconian stupid- to the so many they can't be counted federal laws where it is estimated that adults break at least 3 per day, every day.
Laws are supposed to punish for criminal behavior- criminal behavior is harming another or taking something that doesn't belong to you without permission (state actors are the perfect example)-
what if is thought policing, (projecting) for draconian punishment, (fines, incarceration, etc., and is for 2 purposes that branches into several) 1), to make law writers
feel relevant, 2),to generate revenue and 3), control behavior-
But, for some, which astonishes me, the rule/law writers don't abide by the rules written specifically for them (constitutions) and the only punishment they receive, if any, is to not be re elected- SMH, yet their actions caused harm and their laws made theft legal-
These all lead to the root cause-
A general State education is a mere contrivance for moulding people to be exactly like one another: and as the mould in which it casts them is that which pleases the predominant power in the government, whether this be a monarch, a priesthood, an aristocracy, or the majority of the existing generation, in proportion as it is efficient and successful, it establishes a despotism over the mind, leading by natural tendency ro one over the body. John Stuart Mill, on Liberty (1859)
Now, Republicans pride themselves on being all about Law and Order- so.....
Democrats are showing, in public, (here at least) that they favor Laws as well....
The Party elites (elected miscreants) want more laws to favor whatever- which means Laws are crafted with an agenda in mind, which isn't securing our Liberty, but, further restricting it-
