Why do some claim showing voter ID is racist?

You willing to risk jail and a $5,000 fine for trying to use it?
Yeah. Like Cali enforces laws. Hahahahahahhahahaha

Comical. 1/3 of all Hospice facilities in the US are in Los Angeles. Crime anyone? LA doesn’t prosecute.

Honest question. It would solve a lot ills of perception of voter fraud and to many perception is reality. Let’s just make the law and move on?

Stronger together

Hunt is a great American. His presentation should be required viewing for all those who are ignorant of history or simply leftist demagogues who keep lying to the American people.

I don't think that requiring ID to vote is racist, but I do think it is pointless. There is essentially zero voter fraud in US elections. It's just not a thing that is happening, so voter ID is a solution in search of a problem.

If we want to require people to show ID to vote, the ID needs to be free and extremely easy to get. It can't be like a passport or something. We don't want any barriers between people and their ability to vote.

Such as……….

Another challenge this clown will run away from.

Challenge? Hello? We deal with facts here.

Now about you, you're going about it all wrong. If you want some attention and your ow thread(s) in the Taunting Arena (open to members only), you need to step up your game, and maybe imitate that Tool Votto. You know, flood Boards like the Political Satire Board with FAILS.

I'll answer this: it has nothing to do with being stupid or lazy, it has to do with a myriad of factors.

It's a fact that black people are less likely than white people to have a photo ID: https://www.projectvote.org/wp-cont...WITH-PHOTO-ID-Research-Memo-February-2015.pdf

Facts don't care about your feelings, this is just what it is.

A few reasons why this is the case:
  • lower rates of car ownership among black Americans means they are less likely to seek out. driver license
  • people in poverty are less likely to get a photo ID overall, and black Americans are more likely to be impoverished than white Americans
  • Many elderly black people do not have a birth certificate due to being born in the Jim Crow era
  • Due to over-policing of black communities, black people are more likely to have outstanding legal fines leading to more revoked licenses.

There's more reasons, but this list will do I think.

Note that almost all of these reasons are due to historic and systemic racism, not to black people being stupid or lazy.

So you can’t bring a single example of racism by me, and you have nothing to back up your lies about voter ID being racist.

I think you are done here, Troll.

Run along……..

Black folks say you are a racist asshat, and a liar.

Listen to your racist fellow travelers, then listen to how black folks expose your racism.

Facts don't care about feelings The statistics show that black people are less likely to have ID than white people. What the video is doing is known as cherry-picking. It means nothing, and it's not compelling except to the most weak-minded.

But you're associating me with those white people interviewed in the video, and I am not those people.

I believe the reason for Republicans to push so hard for voter ID laws is that they know the statistics on who has ID and who does not, and they want to disenfranchise black people. But I believe the actual effect of these laws will not be that, because what we see is that voter ID laws tend to push the people in danger of being disenfranchised into getting ID so they can fight back against the disenfranchisement.

I am actually indifferent to voter ID laws, as long as the required IDs are free and easily accessible to everyone. We all know of course that that is not what Republicans want to have. We all know that Republicans are frothing at the mouth to return to the Jim Crow era, and the Supreme Court is currently enabling that.

Your racism was exposed by black folks confirming they are t too stupid and lazy to get an ID.

Whining about it won’t change that fact, racist scum.

Aw, so emotional.

I didn't say black people are too lazy or too stupid to get an ID. I actually said the opposite.

Why don't you explain to me why you think the statistic unambiguously show that black people are less likely to have ID. Give it your best shot, I'm dying to hear your totally not-racist theory.
