Why do some claim showing voter ID is racist?

If they have lived their lives without a car and driver's licence, and without a government issued, Photo ID, why are you forcing them, citizens, to get one now in order to vote?

How does voter ID solve voter fraud that allegedly takes place at the polling place, (which it doesn't)? What is the purpose? If you've registered to vote, you will be on the voter roll to check in, if you haven't registered or had not been approved, then your name would not be on the voter roll at check in.

Why can't any ID showing your name and address work to prove you are who you say you are, like an electric bill with your name and address prove you are the person registered?

It does prove you are the voter registered. As a citizen, guaranteed the right to vote in the constitution, you shouldn't have to get a govt issued photo id... There is no purpose for it, other than to exclude those citizens living their lives without ID or making life much harder for them....and there is no other purpose for voter ID at the polling booth than that...keep citizens who have been voting their whole life without this government issued photo id.

There is no voter fraud at the polls that a govt issue photo id would stop.

BEFORE any person is approved to vote, the state should vet the application within their systems, to their age, whether a felon, whether not a citizen, whether they live in the district....that burden and vetting is the govt's responsibility.... It should not be up to us....we are citizens, we are constitutionally exercising our right to vote and are not illegals.

Your gop wants fewer CITIZENS from voting....mostly the poor, disabled and older seniors who live without a car and govt id, (and students going to school in other states), most all of who the gop believe are voters from their opposing political party....giving them hurdles is their goal....

And that, is simply cheating, and wrong.

and how many people do you think are out there who have lived their life without an ID?
No one is so poor that they cant afford to get an ID within the next 4 years.... its just not having the will to go out and do it.

Did you not read the OP? Typical lying lib. I said It solves the perception of voter fraud.

I wanna drive to LA to vote for Spencer Pratt.....
What they gonna do? Make me show ID or something?

They, are citizens living without a car mostly....who do not have a govt issued photo ID driver's licence. Around 21 to 27 million adult citizens do not drive.
How many don’t have a photo ID.

The thread isn’t about drivers, moron.

Honest question. It would solve a lot ills of perception of voter fraud and to many perception is reality. Let’s just make the law and move on?

Stronger together

Math is racist is one of my favorite commie nonsense scams.

  • Limited Representation: Textbooks and curricula often feature predominantly white, male mathematicians, neglecting the contributions of women, people of color, and mathematicians from other cultural backgrounds. This lack of representation can negatively impact the self-esteem and sense of belonging for students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Standardized Testing: Standardized tests, often designed with a specific cultural context in mind, may disadvantage students from different backgrounds who may approach problem-solving in alternative ways. This can perpetuate achievement gaps and limit access to educational opportunities. Consider, for example, questions relying on assumed knowledge of specific cultural references or scenarios unfamiliar to certain student populations.
  • Curriculum Content: The selection of mathematical topics and their applications can reflect Eurocentric biases. For instance, examples used to illustrate mathematical concepts may be rooted in Western economic or social systems, making them less relevant or accessible to students from other cultures.
This bias extends into the realm of algorithms and AI. Many algorithms used in areas like facial recognition and natural language processing are trained on datasets that are predominantly composed of data from Western populations. This can lead to biased results, where these algorithms perform less accurately for people from other ethnic backgrounds. This is a critical consideration when deploying these technologies globally. The ethical implications are profound, particularly when AI is used in high-stakes applications like law enforcement or medical diagnosis.

Polls indicate that voter ID is very popular with the voters. The better question is, why do the democrats fight so hard against something that is almost universally popular?

Playing stupid won’t change the outcome.

Why do studies claiming an ID to vote is a burden on minorities but excluded Asians from their studies?

It’s like DEI but Asians are excluded. Occasionally, Democrats and big corporations toss an Asian in as token just to show Democrats are for diversity and inclusion, right?
.

Playing?

I have a childhood friend that was a federal prosecutor in NYC and lived there for many years (he was on the team that prosecuted Gotti) and the whole time he lived there he never owned a car. He took taxis everywhere he went. I suspect he had an ID. ;)

"racist" is just their defense to everything that they support that is completely retarded. That or "NAZI"
Its just like MAGA and their "TDS" bullshit.

I have family that lives in NYC....lived there their whole lives.

One has a license....because she is the odd one. It's not like she actually owns a car or desires to own one....because it's just horribly expensive to own one in NYC and the state in general. Between parking, insurance, inspections, and the salt in the winter.....its outrageous what owning one actually costs. Nevermind the normal maintenance....

She never drives.....but she wanted the option should the day come that she wanted to or needed to. Everyone else has IDs....they ride busses and trains everywhere they want to go. Occasionally a cab/uber.
