Why do retired people constantly gloat?

I didn't bother with cleaning the driveways till 0800 this morning from the Sunday night - Monday night snows. There was no place I needed to be so why bother?

We have earned the right to enjoy it. We labored long enough (many of us shoveled tons of snow over our careers).

But I now live south. So, damn little if any snow and no shoveling.

LMAO. I gloat about my freedom. I earned it. Got up this morning and went skiing. One run, LOL, too foggy. Good lazy day. Don't envy your snow, relluc, but I can relate. We are having a mild winter--don't look to plow until at least next Monday.

Hell, those people worked and planned for retirement for 30-40 years. Many thought they would never see the day. And then it's here. Who could blame them if they don't exactly know how to deal with it. In retirement, I actually wear a watch more often but that's because I go to casinos more. I hope that ain't gloating.

Strange thing about being retired is I used to hate getting up early to go to work.
I used to think, when I retire I can sleep late.
