In every society there will be those who do need some help and propping up from time to time ( and we should always have room for kindness) but when creating that larger demographic becomes a goal of one of the political parties, in the guise of compassion, its really disingenuous at best. I think socialism only works in small or homogeneous countries where people are more or less like minded and goal oriented.
