Since Jan 20, 2025, Democrats / liberals / leftist have demonstrated they are -more- than comfortable with political violence, and are maybe 20-30 minutes away from taking it to the streets at the wholesale level. I do. I didn't buy an M1 Garand in the mid-90s. It was made in 1945(?), NEW in the crate and never fired. It was $200.

I'd still be kicking myself if I missed a deal like that. I bought a Garand from a pawn shop in Arlington, TX back in 2004. I think it was a South Korean rework and got it for $280. But like a dumbass, I traded it for a scoped Ruger Mini-14. That stupid thing would do a 4" group at 100 yards when the barrel got warm.

M1 carbines are another story. I've owned 7 of them at different times over the last 40 years. They're fun for plinking but not much good for anything else. I still have a couple hundred pieces of brass and some 110 gr, RN bullets left from the load I worked up for the last one, but never seemed to keep the things for very long.

Not a fan of the M1 Carbine. It's not a bad rifle, but the .30 Carbine round is a major oddball now.
