Why do I need an AR15?

I've done some of this, though we probably only went thru 300 rifle rounds and maybe 100 handgun.
There was a lot of move and shoot, and transitioning between guns.

Not only do you need a gun to be safe in America, you need a bit of experience on getting up close enough to a political enemy to kill with a snubnose revolver.

In the UK, AR-15 style rifles are legal to own, but with specific restrictions: they must be chambered for .22LR or .22 Winchester Magnum rounds, and must be straight-pull or bolt-action, not semi-automatic, with no restrictions on magazine capacity. Owning a AR15 variant is not a problem in the UK, you just have to be a safe character, thats the bit that frightens Americans.

So, in other words they are not AR15s in any way. Wrong caliber, wrong action and you have to be a “ safe character” as judged by the government that can rescind that opinion at any time for any reason. The more you try to justify your system, the more it sounds like a tyrannical government that allows you privileges, instead of guaranteed rights.
