You need a whole lot more than e-verify. You need to prosecute people hiring illegals - vigorously. Trump refused to do that because those employers are big Republican donors and he was one of them.

Obama obtained over 450 Orders against employers in his first term. Once they took the "now hiring illegals" signs down, illegal border crossings dropped like a stone. And the fines, and penalties paid by the employers, more than covered the costs of prosecution.

Prosecuting employers, which Republicans refuse to do, reduces illegal border crossings, reduces the costs of enforcing immigration laws and incarcertating undocumented workers.

Trump rounded up illegals, but kept them in camps and didn't deport them. Expensive, ineffective, but it looks like he's doing more because you see these people in the camps. You don't see Democrats doing stuff like this, but their policies work, and Trump's did not. It lead to a national emergency, which still has not been lifted.

Illegal border crossing INCREASED under Donald Trump. When immigrants are allowed to come in legally, through a port of entry, the government has their names, addresses, phone numbers, and can find them.

When Trump closed the legal ports of entry, illegal crossings spiked, and you have NO INFORMATION on anyone coming into the country. Really fucking dumb of Trump to do that.

When Trump stopped allowing people in legally, he gave the coyotes, the smugglers and human traffickers a whole new lease on life. The only way immigrants could cross the border was illegally, and suddenly these guys had all the business they could want.

Trump's Southern Border strategy was an abject failure. He dismantled all immigration services, immigration courts, and the social network set up on the Southern Border to assist immigrants. Instead, people continued to pour across the Southern Border but there was nothing to assist them other than to put them in camps.

Trump's deportation numbers were abyssmally low because there were no courts left to order the deportations.

But keep telling us what a great job Trump did at the Southern Border. 3 years later, you still haven't restored the functioning there.

Yet millions work I am in hospitality and it is over represented by this class of people you claim don't work. I used to be in construction never a shortage of them working, I trained several dozen to be mason laborers. I also worked security at their dance clubs and no shortage of workers and money they spent from working.

I remember Bush telling Americans that Mexicans "do the jobs that nobody else wants" while Mexicans were taking construction jobs; driving jobs; factory jobs; and lots of other jobs for half the pay thus putting Americans in the unemployment line. All the while, Mexicans were voting for Dems.

When an armed agent stepped out, dressed in a forest-green uniform, he found a 16-year-old girl from Mexico softly crying, while holding her month-old baby swaddled in a blanket.

The agent commanded her to get in the vehicle. As they then drove to the Nogales Border Patrol station, the girl, he later reported, tried to speak to him in Spanish through the security partition that separated them. Her tiny daughter, she was telling him, was in distress. Cameras showed that the vehicle stopped for all of 10 seconds before continuing. The agent later claimed he couldn’t understand what she was saying and that he wanted to find a fluent Spanish speaker at the station. He didn’t realize, he insisted, that the infant was struggling to breathe, though the child soon died.

This hellish story of suffering at our border is but one of hundreds of similar tales of horror from 2023. They illustrate a fundamental truth about that border: It neither is, nor ever was, an “open” one in the Biden years, nor does the president faintly have an open-border policy, though prepare yourself to hear otherwise—over and over again—in Trumpublican campaign ads next year. They’ll repeat what party officials are already saying all too repetitively: that “President Biden’s radical open borders policies” have created “the worst border crisis in American history.” (While those are the exact words of House Oversight Committee chair James Comer, similar sentiments are already being offered by countless members of the GOP.)

The job market isn't paying good wages so people are working two jobs in an attempt to pay for Biden's high inflation tax. I know several people who are doing pizza delivery or Uber Eats (along with their low-paying, full-time jobs) in attempt to make ends meet and they're still struggling. Allowing 17 million illegals into America, un-checked, certainly isn't helping matters. Especially when the taxpayer pays for their room, board, medical costs, and welfare.

Fauci's & Gate's "pandemic" put millions out of work. Trump's job market was growing as a result of true, market growth. Biden's job market is the result of people getting their previously lost jobs back.
