congressional districts are determined by population counts from the census, illegals are counted in the census. So the more illegals allowed in the country the more congressional districts are created. The dems think that the majority of illegals will vote dem because dem policies allowed them to illegally enter our country. Yet millions work I am in hospitality and it is over represented by this class of people you claim don't work. I used to be in construction never a shortage of them working, I trained several dozen to be mason laborers. I also worked security at their dance clubs and no shortage of workers and money they spent from working.

I didn't cut and paste at all. I linked to sources which proved my post. You might try to do the same.

You need a whole lot more than e-verify. You need to prosecute people hiring illegals - vigorously. Trump refused to do that because those employers are big Republican donors and he was one of them.

Obama obtained over 450 Orders against employers in his first term. Once they took the "now hiring illegals" signs down, illegal border crossings dropped like a stone. And the fines, and penalties paid by the employers, more than covered the costs of prosecution.

Prosecuting employers, which Republicans refuse to do, reduces illegal border crossings, reduces the costs of enforcing immigration laws and incarcertating undocumented workers.

Trump rounded up illegals, but kept them in camps and didn't deport them. Expensive, ineffective, but it looks like he's doing more because you see these people in the camps. You don't see Democrats doing stuff like this, but their policies work, and Trump's did not. It lead to a national emergency, which still has not been lifted.
