While David Muir, the moderator of the ABC News debate between former president Trump and Vice President Harris, was citing statistics from this data — John tells Wheeler that the FBI “missed over 880,000 violent crimes.”

“They missed 1,699 murders, over 10,000 rapes, missed 33,000 robberies, and missed 37,000 aggravated assaults. And for property crimes, they missed 198,000 property crimes that they hadn’t included in their numbers,” he explains.

“So when you say that 1,699 murders were missed, what does that mean?”

“Well, it’s kind of a black box. They don’t explain what happened, they just give you the data,” he says.

“It’s so deceptive. It’s also I think a good reminder when the mainstream media and the left have told us, it’s a form of gaslighting actually, over the course of the past year, every time a conservative has said, ‘Listen, our cities are facing an increase in violent crime where our neighborhoods aren’t as safe,’ and the left said, ‘Oh, violent crime is going down,’” Wheeler comments.

“We should follow our guts,” she continues. “We know that the violent crime rate is not going down.”

Why not continue to lie and say crime went up if and when Trump is elected?

When President Trump gets into office, and appoints Elon Musk as the government efficiency manager, there needs to be a cleaning out of all agencies. Bust them all up, banish each and every one of them, then find a new agency that will follow the law, not the Democrat will. Dont need Dept of Ed, leave that up to the states, no need for Federal FBI, have each state run their own, get rid of Dept of Housing, let each state do their own. See where i am getting at. Once you can cut all this government waste, the Debt the US citizens have in taxes, will go down drastically.

I guess it is just the assumption that Trump will win and maybe trying to soften the blow by revealing things before he gains power?

Got a link to any of those fantastical claims about the statistics? There is nothing linked in the article to where their claims and numbers were derived....? Unless I'm just missing it? :dunno:

The evil dems know that unless they try gaslighting the public on crime rates it will make their "Mah Abortion" harping null and void.

First and foremost, women want to feel safe when out and about.
Plus there were lies about many other things.Like Jobs
and the Economy, spending,Covid and most juvenile
this January 6th - Insurrection - Bullshit.Where Not one
firearm was used or collected. No one died on January 6th except
Ashley Babbitt. We found out within the last year and a half that the FBI
actually had undercover agents at that January 6th Capitol event.
Plus Pelosi and Mayor Bowser were mailed by Trump letters
asking them to make it possible to have 10,000 or more
National Guard on hand.Trump said he did have the authority
to order National Guard for the Capitol. That was Nancy Pelosi's
call.Plus Pelosi purposedly did not respond to the Trump letter.
Mayor Bowser even gave her letter to Pelosi to no avail.
Pelosi just a couple months ago admitted that it was her
direct call to use her authority to ensure any National Guard
were called out.She admitted to being negligent.

Curious to see if they hold the FBI accountable.

Hardly.Like who was most behind ensuring agencies like
the FBI and CIA became Part of what is now understood to
be DEEP STATE.It was Obama. And guys like Jim Brennan,James Comey.
It was the January 5th special meeting Obama called for 2 weeks
before Trump was to be sworn-in.At the meeting with FBI Director
James Comey,Susan Rice,Sally Yates and V.P. Biden.
It was to act in good faith about what was very secret.
Operations like - Crossfire Hurricane -.
However Susan Rice pulled a fast one and E-Mailed
to herself an explanation what was off base on purpose.
To keep from word spreading out that Obama did know
about the targetting of Trump back in October and before.
Obama let the word get out that at that Meeting he stressed
" every aspect should be Handled BY THE BOOK ".
I guess that explains why Susan Rice E-Mailed to herself
some concoction as cover. She mailed it as Trump was
being Sworn-in.Knowing that her official title and duties
ended once Trump was sworn-in.

Oh no, they know the writing on the wall, after James Comey lied to a FISA court, and Stocke, Page were messaging each other how to push the Russian collusion hoax, but didnt work out how they planned. FBI is in my books labeled F I B.

There is only one phrase which accurately describes it, The Deep State.

There is only one phrase which accurately describes it, The Deep State.

I don't think the situation we find ourselves in with a politicized administrative state that is more interested in their circumstances (power and money) than in the honor and integrity from doing their jobs as well as they can without prejudice. Too much to ask for maybe. But combined with the progressive liberal media, academia, Hollywood, etc., I think the future is already ordained and this country will go down the tubes as have so many other successful societies before. Barring some cataclysmic events (depression, world war) it's hard for me to see any other outcome.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) recently revised its national violent crime statistics for 2022, quietly revealing that violent crime increased by 4.5% instead of the initially reported 2.1% decrease.

RealClearInvestigations reported that the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report initially indicated that the United States experienced a 2.1% decrease in violent crime from 2021 to 2022; however, the recent change shows that violent crime actually increased by 4.5% from 2021 to 2022. The FBI’s quiet revision of the 2022 violent crime statistics comes shortly after the FBI announced that the 2023 Uniform Crime Report showed a 3% decrease in violent crime.

Carl Moody, a professor at the College of William & Mary, told RealClearInvestigations, “I have checked the data on total violent crime from 2004 to 2022. There were no revisions from 2004 to 2015, and from 2016 to 2020, there were small changes of less than one percentage point. The huge changes in 2021 and 2022, especially without an explanation, make it difficult to trust the FBI data.”
