Why can't Trump supporters ever acknowledge the bad things that Trump does?

I have NEVER stated otherwise. I have said that politicians are by nature liars but that what one needs to evaluate is who is the extreme. Guaranteed that Trump is the extreme, especially when compared to Biden and Obama.

So say it then...say that you think biden and Obama are wrong for their lies.

Given the history of Propublica's exageration and left-leaning bias,

and the propensity of anyone arrested by mistake to exagerate their plight, let's assume that this number has been exagerated by a factor of ten and that only those who resisted were treated roughly and that many of them were people with "legal status" not U.S. citizens.

So seventeen people were briefly detained to determine their immigration status.

Or just as likely, the entire 170 of which Propublica speaks were detained for interfering with federal law enforcement:

Yes, citizens can and should be detained if they commit acts of violence and interfere with law enforcement.

Did you only read the headline again?

Suppose some have been detained by mistake. Is it your contention that no criminal law should ever be enforced unless it can be guaranteed that investigators and officers will never make an honest error and detain someone by mistake?

Honest mistake is once in a while and not with the frequency that it is happening. ICE is going crazy with the permission of Trump.

Its the deadliest year for ICE in decades. As detentions rise, the trend may continue

According to a review of deaths by NPR, at least 20 people have died in ICE custody so far this year. The number comes as ICE is also holding nearly 60,000 people in immigration detention, the highest number in several years.

Detention and deportation of American citizens in the second Trump administration

During the second presidency of Donald Trump, federal immigration enforcement policies resulted in the documented arrest of American citizens. Officials working for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) increased their efforts to detain and deport illegal immigrants under White House orders, with these operations harming U.S. citizens. ICE was confirmed by independent review and U.S. judges to have violated laws including the Immigration Act of 1990 by interrogating and detaining people without warrants or review of their citizenship status.

High-profile detention cases include a mass arrest of 15 New York State elected officials on September 18, 2025 in New York City. Puerto Ricans and indigenous people living in the American Southwest—all of whom were U.S. citizens wrongfully held by immigration authorities.

Yes, mistakes will be made.

Far fewer mistakes would be made if the Autopen administration had not allowed in literally thousands of unvetted, unvaccinated, and undocumented people per day for four years, leaving a crime crises for Trump to deal with.

Far fewer mistakes in who gets arrested would be made if Sanctuary Democrats would allow ICE to make its arrests at state, country, and municipal jails instead of having to go into communities to find the illegal criminals.

You never expressed concern about the deaths of people murdered by illegals, or the plight of children trafficked by illegals. You are focused entirely on Donald Trump.

From NBC News:

More than 13,000 immigrants convicted of homicide — either in the United States or abroad — are living outside of Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention, according to data ICE provided to Congress earlier this week.

The immigrants are part of ICE’s “non-detained” docket, meaning the agency has some information on the immigrants and they have pending immigration cases in the U.S., but they are not currently in detention either because they are not prioritized for detention, they are serving time in a jail or prison for their crimes, or because ICE cannot find them, three law enforcement officials said.

Two of the officials said it is not known how many are incarcerated because ICE is not always privy to that data from state and local law enforcement agencies.

Forgetting the fact that common sense shows us that no person in the world is perfect and that everyone does both good and bad (human nature), it is absolutely incredible that when shown undeniable proof of some of the bad things that Trump has done (and is doing), that none of this is ever acknowledged by Trump supporters.

Here is a partial list of negative facts about Trump:

1) he is a pathological liar
2) he has a huge ego that he needs to feed every day, no matter what
3) he never acknowledges mistakes made (so he can correct them). He always blames others
4) he has a "huge" (more than any other president ever) track record of failures
5) he stimulates dissension (rather than unity)
6) revenge (rather than compromise) is his goal in order to fix problems
7) he favors loyalty over competence

and here are some more:

President Trump's worst offenses - CREW | Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington

All of the above (and more) are proven-to-be-facts that stand out and that are normally criticized harshly by all Americans, and yet Trump supporters don't only ignore them but defend Trump when he does them, while hypocritically debasing others for doing them.

Can any Trump supporters defend themselves for doing this?
  • Overall, we rate Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) strongly left-center biased based on advocacy against conservatives. We also rate them as mostly factual in reporting rather than high due to a lack of transparency.

Like I stated before, both extremes are bad. The left did go to the extremes with immigration.

Everybody knew who he was when they voted for him. I keep trying to explain to you guys so your imagined revelation of his personal traits is a day late and a dollar short.
We know Trumps failings. We know his strengths too. Those are very important, and we don't like his bragging, but he is a man of actions we do like.

Post in thread 'Why can't Trump supporters ever acknowledge the bad things that Trump does?' Why can't Trump supporters ever acknowledge the bad things that Trump does?

You cant do it, can you? You are completely incapable of condemning the left specifically by name.

I only condemn those that are IN POWER and are extremists that can hurt me and my nation. The extreme left has not been in power (neither Sanders nor AOC were in charge). Biden was a centrist and so was Kamala. I was not a fan of either but compared to Trump, they were the better choice "overall".

The reality is that Trump is the one that is boring as he always does what I expect him to do. He never surprises anyone!

Unfortunately, he is in a POSITION to cause us all problems and as such, he must be addressed every single day until he is gone. If he was not president, I would not even give him a second thought and much less spend any time talking about him.

Let me ask you a question "why do you spend so much time criticizing me"? You spend as much time doing that as I do criticizing Trump, and yet I am in no position to cause any of you any lasting problems!

Why are you doing the same as you accuse me of doing?
Because your rants are all about you and how much you hate trump

You’re lucky he’s president

Kamala Harris would be much worse for everyone

I totally disagree with you 150%. This does not mean I was a fan of Harris. It means that there is no one WORSE than Trump. He is the absolute definition of an extremist.
