Why can't the Repubs let go of the laptop?

Speaker Johnson doesn’t commit to holding Biden impeachment vote

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) would not commit to holding a vote on articles of impeachment against President Biden when asked about the prospect Wednesday, a posture that comes as Republicans struggle to find a smoking gun in their months-long probe of the president.

Asked during the House GOP retreat in West Virginia if he sees a path to holding a vote to impeach Biden this Congress, Johnson was noncommittal, telling reporters lawmakers must gather more information before making a decision on a floor vote.

"Lawmakers must gather more information before making a decision on a floor vote.........." is a euphemism for "we are going to drag this out through the entire presidential campaign because we don't have any evidence of a crime."

I never said I agreed with you. I never said I agreed with anyone claiming censorship. So you seem to be making claims on me rather then actually replying to anything that I actually stated
Re read what I wrote you’re misunderstood. I said that it SEEMED like you were agreeing with the other poster but IF you were and IF you were agreeing with me then it shows you’re thinking objectively.

Now I’ll just simply ask and hope for a straight answer. Do you think the Dems censored media companies from covering the laptop story?

You are in an echo chamber Cult.
80% of the country understands with clarity information that will never get to you.
Like what? Are you going to tell me another lie?

Kushner's deal was a legitimate quid pro quo. He got to know some people in the course of his government employment, and they liked his style. The Media is reporting this as though they gave him $2 billion. They entrusted the money to him for investment. Contrast that to the foreign interests GIVING MILLIONS TO HUNTER and the other Biden's. Huge difference. And with the Biden's there was no quid pro quo. They were being paid for access, not services or goods.

Really?

It is documented.

Are you playing some type of word game with the word "censored"?

Am I surprised that you reject the testimony of Morell refuting the House Repub's contentions? No.

"In an effort to smear Secretary Blinken and sensationalize a three-year-old tabloid story, Jim Jordan has released cherry-picked excerpts of a transcribed interview. To be clear, no part of that interview demonstrates that Tony Blinken or any other Biden campaign official asked Mike Morell to write a letter about Hunter Biden’s laptop.

"Mr. Morell is a former CIA Deputy Director and a highly decorated veteran of the intelligence community. For years, he has advised leaders of both parties—including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who awarded Mr. Morell a Director’s Award for distinguished service.

"At no point during his interview did Mr. Morell testify that Secretary Blinken directed or asked him to write any letters. Instead, Mr. Morell testified that Mr. Blinken sought his advice, as many others have. In response to questions posed by Chairman Jordan’s own lawyers, he testified that Mr. Blinken did not “direct, suggest, or insinuate in any way” that he should write a letter about Hunter Biden’s laptop. Nor did Mr. Blinken—then a private citizen—try to get at the letter indirectly. Mr. Morell testified that Mr. Blinken did not hint that the Biden campaign “could use some help on this” or suggest that Mr. Morell should “cook up something” that the campaign should use.
Funny that you are willing to believe any thing that some unnamed source claims about this republican without even a thought but you are willing to believe this.

I have no idea if they did or not. It would not surprise me if they did nor would I be surprised if they did not. I know that some of the media ran with the letter on an hourly basis.

Kushner's deal was a legitimate quid pro quo.
You mean like "since your father-in-law looked the other way when we killed Khashoggi we'd like to give you $2B." Like that?

Comer says Kushner ‘crossed the line of ethics’ with Saudi deal

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) said Thursday that Jared Kushner, former President Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser while in office, “crossed the line of ethics” by accepting a $2 billion investment from the Saudi government in his private investment firm six months after he left the White House.

Just the definition and evidence that the Democrats and government forced those private businesses into it.

Your evidence?

Yes they did… and other media ran with all kinds of unsubstantiated conspiracies on an hourly basis. That’s the first amendment and free market at work.

Comer claimed there was a coordinated campaign by social media companies, mainstream news and the intel communities to suppress and de-legitimize the existence of Hunter Biden's laptop and its contents.

That claim turned out to be bullshit as do all of Comer's claims.

I suppose because he saw an opportunity to get a huge cash infusion for his investment company he didn't think he could get legitimately.
Malarkey!

Abraham Accords - Wikipedia

The agreement was negotiated by Trump senior adviser Jared Kushner and Middle East envoy Avi Berkowitz and marked Kushner and Berkowitz's fourth normalization agreement in as many months.
